1 COMPANY PROFILE d&s developments was established in Meyersdal, Gauteng at the beginning of this millennium by its current members, Tertius Delport and Eccard Swanepoel. Prior to its establishment, Tertius was extensively involved in the construction of upmarket single residential contract homes and later cluster developments. Tertius has a special talent for identifying viable opportunities for the developer, investor and end user. His vision and energy create quality end projects that truly stimulate even the most critical eye. He firmly believes and has proven that property remains the ultimate investment that one could make. Eccard is a qualified master electrician by trade and it was during the initial stages of doing electrical installations that he developed a keen interest in the construction industry. He followed his heart and commenced a new career, modernising existing homes and master-building spec homes. One of his unique attributes is that he insists on absolute perfection, both technically and aesthetically. He approaches his work from an uncompromising, critical perspective and will not tolerate anything short of excellence. Having worked in the same area and commanding mutual admiration and respect for the individual talents and attributes of one another, it was inevitable for the two to join forces, combining their highly regarded quality attributes into a dynamic synergy. This is when partnership of d&s developments was formed. d&s developments developed inter alia the following properties in Meyersdal, Gauteng:- Eagles Landing, a two phased, 19 unit premium cluster development set amongst the koppies in Meyersdal; A number of upmarket homes at the special instance and request of discerning clients in the lush Reading Country Club Golf Estate in Alberton; Horizon View, a 12 unit cluster development comprising of single storey luxury homes; and Sunset Boulevard, another 12 unit choice contemporary and exclusive double storey cluster development. At the end of 2002, the partners of d&s developments travelled to Ballito on the North Coast of KZN to identity development opportunities. They came across a sugarcane farm, which was in the process of being made available for development by BOE Developments (Pty) Ltd. Faithful to their motto; they identified the development opportunities that lurked. It was during this time that Delport and Swanepoel established True Motives 1102 CC. True Motives acquired their first piece of vacant land in KZN within the new estate, now known as Seaward Estates. They were true pioneers in that they introduced the concept of freehold cluster developments (as opposed to conventional sectional title developments) to the KZN North Coast, thereby turning vision into action. True Motives have developed the following homes within Seaward Estates:- San Paulo, a 16 unit cluster development (single storey) most with outstanding sea views San Thaila, a 20 unit double storey and single storey cluster development, also mostly with splendid sea views More recently San Tropez was developed. Phase 1 consists of 29 single storey homes. San Tropez Phase II has been approved although construction has not yet commenced. This development comprises of 11 double storey elite cluster units. Because of the superior quality of workmanship and finishing, investors have in some instances more than doubled the value of their investments in as little as 18 months.

2 Les Dauphine True Motives completed Les Daupnine, their flagship development in Shakas Rock. This development, consisting of 16 ultra luxurious sectional title units, is situated directly across the road from the popular Thompsons Bay beach. This superior development was sold out in a mere few hours. True Motives were also presented with the award of Highly Commended Best Home Builder of the year for 2005 by the NHBRC (The National Home Builders Registrations Council) in their category, an achievement of which they are immensely proud, but which they have earned through and through by virtue of their passion for what they do and their unrivalled quality of workmanship. Other Freehold Developments Current developments include a number of Bali styled executive mansions in the impressive Sheffield Beach Estate, 10 minutes to the north of Ballito and a stones throw away from the beautiful untouched beaches that grace our coastline. All these homes have breathtaking sea views to the South East and brilliant views of the rolling hills backed by flame-red sunsets to the West. Current Project Another masterpiece is in the process of being developed at La Mercy, exactly midway between Ballito and Umhlanga. This is Coral Reef Apartments, a multi storey 48 unit sectional title complex directly across the road from the beach. The units in this development will have unparalleled, uninterrupted views of miles of unspoilt beach, the beautiful Umdloti lagoon as well as ocean views all the way through Umhlanga Rocks, with the impressive Durban harbour and city skyline completing this picture perfect view. Future Projects Having re-claimed the original name of d&s developments (Proprietor: True Motives 1102 CC), the future certainly looks very exciting indeed. d&s developments have recently acquired the rights to purchase and develop 1500 hectares of prime bushveld farmland in Pongola. This land forms an integral part of the well-managed Pongola Game Reserve, some two hours drive north of Ballito. Consultations with authorities and affected parties are currently underway. Once approved, this ecologically sensitive development will comprise of approximately 30 unique, superlative game lodges, with an emphasis on space, privacy, luxury and of course, the unsurpassed quality that is true to d&s developments.it is envisaged that this development will take the form of a share block scheme, with the aim of converting the same into a sectional title scheme. Investment opportunities in this unique reserve development will be made available shortly to a very select, privileged few. Contract Work d&s developments tender for contracts to oversee and construct upmarket homes and projects. Current tenders include projects in Dunkirk Estate and Zimbali Golf Estate, the former a luxury freehold security estate in Salt Rock and the latter a world-class golf course development, situate on some of the worlds most sought after unblemished beachfront land, directly adjacent to Ballito. Management and Professional Team Members Delport and Swanepoel personally attend to the day to day management of the business and projects. Piet Viljoen oversees and co-ordinates construction and site operations in consultation with the members; Architectural Design is mainly the responsibility of Chantal Damant a U.P.E graduate, who has settled in Ballito. Architect Ewald Placker will design the lodges for the Pongala Game Reserve project. Project Management and Costing Consultants Turner and Townsend have been retained for the La Mercy project. ICS Attorneys of Ballito attend to the conveyancing, commercial and other legal matters.
