2 The European Parliament currently uses 7 buildings called Konrad ADENAUER, Robert SCHUMAN, Tower A, Tower B, Goldbell, President and a warehouse located on quay Senningerberg. 1.1 Konrad ADENAUER Building (KAD) The Konrad ADENAUER building is mainly for office use. These offices are used by civil servants, contract staff and external staff. The superstructure area is m² and the substructure area is m². It was commissioned in It is an 8-floor building with 3 basement levels. The entrance hall, the bar and 2 shops are located on the ground floor. The food court and kitchens are located on the first floor. The first floor also houses offices and the leisure library. Floors two to five are used for offices. The sixth floor is partly used for offices and zone G is reserved for the President and the Secretary-General of the European Parliament. The seventh floor is the IT department (Dispatching). The eighth floor is in the process of being re-allocated (former IT room). The substructure comprises three basement floors. Level -1 is split between an unloading area, a central buying office, technical services, various storage rooms and a car park. Levels -2 and -3 are mainly car parks and a few storage rooms. An extension to the building is being completed. This will add approximately m². The building work is at the foundation stage. 1.2 Robert SCHUMAN Building (SCH) The Robert SCHUMAN building is mainly for office use. These offices are used by civil servants, contract staff and external staff. The superstructure area is roughly m² and the substructure area is m². It is a 6-floor building with 2 basement levels. It was commissioned in On the ground floor are located the entrance hall, food court, Cardoc and 2 shops. The first floor houses the parliamentary chamber, a bar and offices. Floors two to five are used for offices. The sixth floor houses 3 meeting rooms and offices. The substructure comprises 2 basement levels: the printing room and various storage rooms at -1, the technical services and kitchens at Tower B Building (TOB): The Tower B building is mainly for office use. The car parks, delivery and vehicle access areas are located on basements 1 to 4. Technical services are mainly located on floor 20 and on basement Tower A Building (TOA) The Tower A building is mainly for office use. It is a 20-floor building with 5 basement levels. The superstructure area is roughly m² and the substructure area is m². It was commissioned in On the ground floor are reception and a food court. The car parks, delivery and vehicle access areas are located on basements 1 to 5. Technical services are mainly located on floor 20 and on basement Goldbell building (GOL) The Goldbell building houses the European Parliament s training centre as well as offices. It is a 2-floor building with 2 basement levels. The superstructure area is roughly m² and the substructure area is m². It was commissioned in On the ground floor are reception, lecture rooms and a food court. The car parks, delivery and vehicle access areas are located on basements 1 to 5. Technical services are, for the most part, located above the top floor and on basement President building (PRE) The President building is mainly for office use. It is a 6-floor building with 2 basement levels. The superstructure area is roughly m² and the substructure area is m². It was commissioned in On the ground floor are reception, a food court and offices. The car parks, delivery areas and technical services are located on basement 1. 4 The warehouse is mainly used for storage. Around ten offices are used by civil servants and contract staff. It is a single-storey building. The building s surface area is roughly m². The European Parliament has been renting the building since RESILIENCE CENTRE LUXEMBOURG WEST building (REC) The European Parliament has been renting a 274 m² IT room and a 20 m² storage room in this building since Names of rooms Room numbers are made up of the following elements: XXX (BUILDING) 00 (LEVEL) - A (ZONE) 999 (ROOM no.) - NN (CATEGORY) Building codes European Parliament buildings have 3-letter codes: KAD Konrad Adenauer SCH Robert Schuman GOL Goldbell 2 TOA Tower A (Georgetti) TOB Tower B (Vason) PRE President SEN Senningerberg warehouse REC Resilience Centre Luxembourg West Level numbering Floor levels are represented by two digits for ground level and above and by a minus sign followed by one digit for basement levels. For all the buildings in Luxembourg, these levels range from -5 to Identification of zones A capital letter is used to identify zones. In Luxembourg, there are zones A to G, except for the hutted accommodation of the extension to building KAD which has the letter Z Room numbering Standard office numbering is from 01 to 99.
