It s time for us to crawl from our holes and meet this opportune market ~ but are we ready? More on that in a sec. But first. Our January 23 rd awards and installation banquet at Shadow Lakes was a lovely evening. Mucho congratulations to all production awardees. There were impressive numbers for such a tough year. Many, many thanks to the banquet committee and AE Karen Fuller for their tireless work to ensure a great party. LueVerne Bowser, Leslie Chaklos, Lynn Gratta and Kathy Green you are amazing! Special recognition and gratitude to our affiliates, as always, whose contributions put us over the top to create a successful night. We couldn t have done it without you. Where was I? Oh yeah, spring market. I m trying to stay ahead and prepare now to avoid the reactionary mode later. So I made a to do list and thought I d pass it on, for what it s worth. Preparing a mailer for my farm with a short deadline. Calling potential clients in my tickler file. Making sure I m getting full potential from MLX tools and its programs. Tuning up the old Dell Cleaning the salt & grime from my listing signs. Ensure my lockbox key is always charged and ready. Servicing or replacing my cell. Making a car maintenance appointment. Getting renewed refills on my meds. Making sure I actually check off and complete the above. Hopefully there s something you can use or modify from the above. 10 ELECTION OF OFFICERS AND DIRECTORS Ever thought of becoming an Officer or a Director of the Beaver County Association of REALTORS? Requirements are as follows: Candidates for officers and directors are required to have been a member of an Association for at least two years and to have served on a standing committee. (list of standing committees above) Criteria for President-Elect Nominees. The nominee shall be a REALTOR with at least three (3) years membership in the Board and shall have successfully completed service to the Board as: a committee member, a chairperson of a committee a three-year term as a Director, and/or Secretary, and/or treasurer. The in-person training will focus on arbitration procedures this year, as well as covering relevant 2010 changes to the Code of Ethics. These 3 ½ hour sessions are not going to be approved for continuing education credit. It is also suggest that it should not count towards the NAR Quadrennial Ethics requirement since the focus will primarily be on arbitration with only minimal use of the Code.
