1 Your Monthly Newsletter! Update from the Managing Director! September 2011 Issue Greetings to all our clients and avid readers out there! Hope the month of September was a good one for you all! Samoa Realty for the month of September listed 19 new properties on the market, settled 8 pending sales from August and signed up 16 new buyers now awaiting settlement. We have noticed that out of the pending sales we currently have on our books, 12 are local buyers and 4 are overseas Samoans. Our list of properties on the market for sale as at the end of September is 164. Of the number of properties on our list, 27% of it are foreclosed properties, which is a very high number. We have sold and settled more than 40 properties this year so far and listed 129 new properties in total for We foresee more properties coming on the market for sale in the coming months, and with a very high supply, a trend of lower offers and more competitive pricing is inevitable. With this trend in the market, there will be more and more good buys in the next couple of months. With so many properties also coming on the market on a mortgagee sale basis, we don t foresee any good changes in the market for Sellers. It will be a good time to buy for those who have been wanting to get on to a property of their own though. We currently are selling some big blocks of land at competitive prices, so there is an opportunity now for property developers.
