3 1 ALUMI BUILDIGS HISTORY 3 2 Ancoats has undergone a transformation in recent years. Alumni A, the conversion of the existing Victorian buildings fronting George Leigh St and Alumni B, a wholly modern addition to the corner of the site fronting both George Leigh St and Cotton St. The two building elements are arranged around a secure central courtyard garden area for residents. Alumni A, the larger of the two blocks, offers a carefully considered approach to the re-use of the buildings, the scale of the original generously proportioned floor-to-ceiling heights is improved through provision of mezzanine decks providing flexible space over living areas and key architectural features are retained. Large windows provide plenty of natural light to the generous living spaces, many with views over the City skyline. Ground floor homes have their own front door, either directly off George Leigh St or from the Courtyard. Fig. 2 Contemporary living in historic surroundings Alumni B provides the best of contemporary apartment living in a purpose-built, modern structure. Spacious and well-appointed, the building is a direct contrast to the Victorian conversion but suitably compliments its older neighbour. Internally however both blocks share many similarities, high quality finishes and build quality, German manufactured kitchens and premium bathrooms with fittings by Villeroy & Boch. We also offer a range of upgrades and bespoke enhancements to make your home at Alumni truly unique. In total the development provides a total of 20 homes comprised of generous 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments.
