2 Key Insights Kolkata outperformed the North & East cities of the country, accounting for nearly 55% of the combined launches in Gurgaon, Noida and Kolkata in April, 2016 Residential launches remained subdued in Noida due to restrained demand and a large inventory pile-up. However, Gurgaon witnessed a significant increase in launches as compared to Mar 16 While prices in Gurgaon and Noida recorded correction, compared to previous year, major localities of Kolkata witnessed an annual price appreciation in the range of 3% to 11% News & Deals. Realty firm M3M India completed its deal with Sahara group to acquire 185 acres of land in Gurgaon for Rs.1,211 Crore. The company aims to develop a mixed use project on this land next year after getting necessary approvals US-based realty major Trump Organisation in a joint venture with IREO, plans to develop an iconic office tower in Gurgaon at an estimated cost of Rs.1,000 Crore. The project is likely to be launched by the end of this year The 53-Km. long Palwal-Manesar stretch of Kundli-Manesar-Palwal Expressway has been opened for public use, the remaining 83-Km. Kundli-Palwal stretch is likely to be completed within an year In a move to provide extra space for development, the Uttar Pradesh cabinet has increased the FAR within a 1,000-metre radius of Metro corridors in Greater Noida by 0.5 National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has announced plans to construct a road-cum-rail bridge in Kolkata, across the Muriganga River between Kakdwip in South 24-Parganas and Kochuberia on Sagar Island, at a cost of Rs.2,800 Crore Page 01
