5 Location Summary Albuquerque, NM Overview Located just 25 miles south of Albuquerque, the village of Los Lunas offers a small town feel within a short driving distance of all the amenities the city has to offer. Los Lunas is about a 20 minutre drive south of the city off I-25. Or take the back way down Route 47 through Isleta and Bosque Farms to get to the village from the westside. Los Lunas is a close-knit community with a population of about 14,000 people is part of Albuquerque s statistical population area. Los Lunas is a family town, a suburb of Albuquerque, considered to be a bedroom community, much like Corrales to the north and west. It lies in Valencia County and is the county seat. Los Lunas is a family town with a small town values. There are small parks throughout the village, with a popular one at the Rio Grande, just by the bridge, called River Park.
