1 1 QUALIFICATIONS: Anton has spent over three decades working with some of the world s leading design firms and architects. He considers that architecture should blend into the specific forms and attributes of its locality and the business and social culture of those for whom a project is intended while being respectful of a client s resources, program and agenda. Anton s design vision is driven by an awareness and application for the cultural, economic, and intellectual complexities of the modern world. His experience includes modern and historic large-scale master planning, their component buildings and infrastructure, as well as more modest-sized corporate and residential projects and collaborations in both architecture and interior design. Prior to becoming the founding architect of AJArchitects, Anton spent 18 years with Skidmore, Owings and Merrill and was an Associate Partner at their London office. He was mentored by associates of Mies van der Rohe s office, where he learned the design of exterior curtain walls from the experts who trail blazed this art form in the mid-20th century. Currently Anton is collaborating with HansonLA in Los Angeles, California in the capacity of Managing Principal and Senior Coordinating Architect. In LA he is accountable for the technical product, code compliance, and constructability of all projects in the office while working directly with the young staff of intern architects. Anton also is the Design Principal and architect of record for a handful of more modest sized projects in Washington DC.
