2 MIGLIAVACCA MARCO LANGUAGES SKILLS SOFTWARE Born in Milan, Italy, the 7th of February In 2009 matriculates at the faculty of Architettura delle Costruzioni at Politecnico di Milano. In 2012 gets the bachelor degree. From 2012 and 2013 studies at Technische Universität Berlin as an Erasmus student. In 2016 gets his master degree at Politecnico di Milano with supervisor Christian Campanella with a research thesis about the transformation of an abandoned cement factory close to Bergamo nominated at two award as best thesis. Between 2011 and 2012 works at Studio Albori where gets interested in wood constructions and in the way that ideology shapes architecture. From 2014 to 2016 takes part at IRA.C, architectural research collective, with which coordinates and exposes the project The Third Island Ag '64 '94 '14 at Biennale Venezia 2014 and for which handles and takes part to many other projects. Currently he is signed up at the architects register in Milan. 3 INTERNSHIP BY STUDIO ALBORI About 6 months long work during the 3^ academic year. Mainly creates both study and definitive models and executive drawings, as well as takes little part in the design of an extension of a mansion at Cannero Riviera on the Maggiore Lake in Piemonte, Italy. 4 IRA.C Works actively with the partners of the collective at the projects "The Third Island" (exposed at Biennale Venezia 2014), "Free University" and "How to produce living knowledge" among the others Work Y. 2013/2015 How to produce living knowledge The Third Island Ag '64 '94 '14 Free University Debate about the closing of the Architecture Faculty of Bovisa in Milan and upon knowledge sharing. The event was live broadcasted at Adhocracy Athens curated by Joseph Grima. Handles the realisation of a workshop and organizes and moderates the debate on the closing of the Faculty. Research project on the south italian landscape exposed at Biennale Venezia Developed with Antonio Ottomanelli and Parasite 2.0. A series of events in reggio Calabria followed the exposition. Guests of the events were: Jan Boelen, Stefano Boeri, Daniele Ciprì, Joseph Grima, Marco Introini, Maurizio Montagna, Filippo Romano, among the others. The project was published by: Internazionale.it, Atrtribune.com, Domusweb, Abitare544, Il Post, Abitare.it. Curates for an year the whole organisation of the project from the exposition at the Biennale Venezia to the events in Reggio Calabria, particularly regarding logistics and cultural aspects, nethertheless moderates a conference by Daniele Ciprì. Free University was an itinerant pedagogical place created in the public space based on the horizontal sharing of knowledge. The project was organized in a series of 6 talks and other activities in many places in Milan. The project was exposed by Adhocracy Athens exhibition curated by Joseph Grima. Handles, with the partners, with the cultural and logistics aspetcs of the project.

6 TRASFORMAZIONE EX CEMENTIFICIO PESENTI AD ALZANO LOMBARDO Master Degree thesis project about how to deal with abandoned industrial factories, more precisely about an abandoned cement factory Master Degree thesis project A.y. 2015/2016 Via Pesenti, Alzano Lombardo, Bergamo Supervisor Christian Campanella With Silvia Capobianco The project's theme is the abandoned cement factory in Alzano Lombardo, Bergamo, testimony of the industrial history of Val Seriana. The research rises from the attention given to the theme of the soil consumption in Lombardia. The project starts comparing a potential demolition cost with an estimated transformation cost: this shows, despite the high costs of both the operations, the benefits of a transformation project. The project offers a sort of abacus of different weight interventions on the existing building, that guarantee a wide range of functional programs, thought in relation with the local social dynamics N Main axonometry Broken axonometry

7 URBAN WOOD Residential building and library made in X-Lam in Techniche Universität Berlin A.y. 2012/2013 Inseln an der Landwehr Kanal, Berlin Professors Raphael Frei and Mathias Heinz (Pool Architekten) With Fritz Neukirchen The project The goal ofthe project is to design a 7 storey high residential building and library with X-Lam structure (Massivholzbau) on a concrete base, contrasting the german fire escape regulations that restricts the wood buildings' height to 2 levels. The building leans on a 25m x 30m plot with the shallow side facing the Landwehr Kanal of Berlin. 8 VIA PADOVA DISTRICT RIQUALIFICATION Strategies for the recovery and rediscovery of urban spaces in the district of Via Padova in Milan, Politecnico di Milano A.y. 2011/2012 Via Padova District, Milan, Italy Professors Nicola Russi and Cesare Macchi Cassia With Davide Arrighetti and Nicolò Cabiati The district Characteristic of Via Padova district in Milan is the vitality of its inhabitants, which is not suited an adeguated quality or quantity of public spaces in which this vitality can be released. The interventions aim therefore to reconfigure the green areas and its limits; increase the pedestrian areas or in "shared space" in order to grow the importance of pedestrians and cyclists; rediscover spaces among buildings and last but not least to improve the supply of services in the blocks.
