Lotus Garden: $24 million development of 60 units, with a $289,000 automated parking structure that lifts cars vertically and moves them horizontally, creating a space-saving, stacking effect. The Broad: $140 million art museum directly south of Disney Hall, which has free admission and 50,000 square feet of exhibition space. It draws thousands of local, national and international visitors to Grand Avenue.
6 DEMOGRAPHICS & DEVELOPMENTS DEMOGRAPHICS Downtown Los Angeles has over 52,000 permanent residents, 500,000 daytime employees and approximately 10 million visitors per year. With a median household income of over $98,000 per year and a median age of 34 (of which 80% are college educated), Downtown is quickly becoming Los Angeles hub for business, culture, entertainment and nightlife. There are more than 30,000 residential units existing in LA, with 10,000 under construction or in development.
