Clever use of space and materials is as important in small kitchens, as in large open plan kitchens: A breakfast bar with recessed seating creates a compact kitchen diner. A waterfall edge on the end of a worktop run or island, cascading the same design both horizontally and vertically to wrap kitchen furniture, creates a modern look, with sleek, clean lines. If you have the space for a large island, it makes a striking and very practical centre piece to any kitchen. Mixing different material looks can create an eye catching contrast, such as using Formica Prima Marbled Cappuccino, alongside Natural Block Walnut. 19 1 Feature Splashbacks Functional, fabulous, feature splashbacks make a real design statement in any kitchen. Complement your worktops and kitchen furniture with high gloss coloured splashbacks, luxury metallics or modern optical solid patterns. For a more coordinated look, splashbacks that match your worktops are also available, allowing you to extend the work surface up onto the wall. Mid panel splashbacks are designed for use from the worktop to the underside of your kitchen cabinets and are available in long 3030mm lengths to create a dramatic and functional alternative to tiles or a painted wall. Hob panel splashbacks are double height, to protect the wall from cooking splashes and spills. Upstands 2 For the perfect finishing touch, why not add an upstand? Upstands create clean, uncluttered lines between the back of your worktop and wall and can also help to hide any gaps or wall unevenness. Lifetime guarantee on worktops, breakfast bars & islands This guarantee covers any laminate worktop, breakfast bar or island found to be defective in either material or manufacture from the date of its installation. Swatch samples represent only a small area of an actual Formica Prima worktop, therefore colour and surface finish should be compatibility checked before your Formica Prima products are fitted, as we cannot accept claims for re-fitting resulting from a mismatch of colour or surface finish. An installation and maintenance guide is supplied with every worktop; this must be kept by the end user to validate any guarantees. 10 year guarantee on upstands and splashbacks Formica Prima laminate upstands and splashbacks carry a 10 year guarantee. This guarantee covers any upstand or splashback found to be defective in either material or manufacture from the date of its installation. Exceptions to the guarantee Gloss products & metallic splashbacks Due to the properties of gloss and metallic laminates, additional care must be taken with these products and we are unable to accept performance responsibility. Quality assured All Formica Prima products are manufactured in accordance with British and European standards to ensure they meet exacting modern kitchen requirements. Specific features incorporated into the worktop increase their resistance to heat, impact, moisture and scratching (excluding gloss). A moisture resistant front and back edge seal features on all Formica Prima worktops, breakfast bars and islands.
