Over the course of the next several years, North Downtown will evolve into one of greater Omaha s most exciting and active urban neighborhoods. The new, pedestrian-oriented development will encourage a variety of users, mixed both horizontally and vertically with restaurants and retail on the first level and office and residential space on upper floors. It will encourage a variety of income levels, from students and young professionals, to corporate executives and empty nesters, and will develop around two main corridors. One will move northsouth and the other east-west.
