Bicycle and pedestrian enhancements will also be made along the I-35 frontage roads in each direction within the project limits. Project Update: Length: 1.3 miles Construction cost: $42.6 million Construction start: February 2017 Estimated completion: Spring 2019, weather permitting Funding: Texas Clear Lanes Upcoming work: Waterlines crossing I-35, northbound ramp bridge construction, retaining wall work on mainlanes, southbound frontage road drainage and widening, and north to south turnaround bridge.
