2 GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS & ADVOCACY TOP ISSUES REALTOR FOCUS GROUP FOR MONTGOMERY COUNTY FUTURE PLANS Conducted a REALTOR focus group for Montgomery County REALTORS to offer their input to consultants working on the development of the county s first comprehensive plan that will guide future development of the county. IPS REFERENDUM UPDATE The IPS Board has approved a November referendum of $220 million operating and $52 million capitol REAL SELECTION On July 18th, the selection committee for the Real Estate Academy of Leadership met and vetted 40 candidates. 3 ECONOMIC & COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CONT... TECH TALK On July 18th, more than a hundred members attended the TECH Talk event and one of the presentations highlighted the role of place-based initiatives and community development INHP MIBOR and the Indianapolis Neighborhood and Housing Partnership (INHP) hosted an event on July 26th for which 60 members attended. The education session highlighted some of INHP s new products, including Home Value Guaranty and Rehab Match This is the 7th INHP educational session co-sponsored by MIBOR with approximately 200 members attending in total. MONON 16 COMMUNITY GARDEN PROJECT On July 25th 15 volunteers met to assist in completing the Monon 16 Community Garden project, which is a placemaking initiative led by a REALTOR member, Jenni Bliss, and received funds from MIBOR and NAR. Jenni learned about the NAR placemaking grants while attending the NAR conference in Chicago and contacted MIBOR for assistance in applying and making her vision for this project become a reality. The survey is currently in the field and collecting responses. Survey should run for approximately two weeks and then the analysis and breakdown will begin. Phase 1 of the Regional Housing Analysis is almost complete. Phase 1 will examine identifying housing indicators, what constitutes a healthy housing market and why it is important. Additionally, this portion of the study will analyze how the current housing stock aligns with the regional economic development strategies and talent attraction and retention efforts. Both of these studies will be the basis of content for the October 15th Housing Summit. He said while it s important IPS succeed, the district s request is quite a ways apart from what the Indy Chamber recommended. Taxpayers can only absorb so much of an increase. At some point you overstep that burden and that s something we have to be cautious of with this proposal, Pryor said. Buyers must make good offers to snag homes in sizzling market 10

12 MIBOR ADVERTISING CAMPAIGN & INDYSTAR BRANDED CONTENT On March 16, MIBOR launched an eight-month branded content campaign with the Indianapolis Star. The campaign includes two written pieces a month to be features both on indystar.com and in the Sunday Star. The goal of this campaign is to align with our goal of Be the definitive resource. CAMPAIGN TOTALS 3,272,455 impressions 7,975 clicks to % average CTR (click through rate) $1.70 average CPC (Cost-per-Click ) Key takeaway: With an average CTR of 0.24%, MIBOR s Spring 2018 campaignout-performed the industry average CTR of 0.05% and it outperformed the Ad Network CTR from last year (Spring 2017: 0.22% and Fall 2017: 0.16%). This is due in part because of the targeting parameters that were put into place: predictive, contextual, behavioral and geo-targeting.
