We achieved 97.6% from over 200 Client Service Results recorded on the ESTAS website! Convey Law is leading the way in changing the way that we convey for the better and providing excellent client service, thank you all! In 2016 we won the Winner of Winners Award at the Welsh Business Awards following our win for Commitment to Skills and People Development. At the awards we were credited for creating a supportive culture that encourages training, learning and continuous professional development with the help of our Conveyancing Academy. Staff members at Convey Law enjoy the opportunity to train, play and share their success. In conjunction with Monmouth RFC, we have recently engaged with 11 Schools and Youth Clubs in the locality to help raise over 25, for the Ty Hafan Children s Hospice! A great community initiative for a truly fantastic charity. Ty Hafan launched the Snowdogs: Tails in Wales initiative in Cardiff last year, unleashing a pack of Snowdogs into the city s streets, iconic buildings and open spaces as part of this extraordinary public art trail. The Conveyancing Academy was acclaimed at the Chamber of Commerce National Awards in October 2016 where Convey Law were named National Winners for Commitment to People Development. The National Award followed on from the Chamber of Commerce best Welsh Business Award in We are now working with the Council for Licensed Conveyancers and the Society for Licensed Conveyancers to achieve Licensed Conveyancer accreditation upon completion of our Paralegal and Trainee Conveyancer Courses. We enjoyed complimentary drinks and a sumptuous three course meal at the home of Welsh rugby - the Principality Stadium in Cardiff! We all work together to ensure that we achieve our objectives and we celebrate our successes. Fern Bridgman Most Improved Fern joined Convey Law in March 2007 and has excelled in her Conveyancing role, providing fantastic service to her clients. Well done Fern, we are very proud of you! A wonderful achievement and the seventh year in a row that Cheryl has received the Award - a truly fantastic achievement for a dedicated and inspirational Conveyancer. Jo Powell s Team Most Exchanges Congratulations to Joanne Powell s Team for winning the Most Exchanges Award for With an Average of 26 Exchanges per month over the year - great teamwork Team Jo - very well done! Sophie Wheaton Fastest Timelines Sophie Wheaton achieved an astonishing average period to exchange for her clients of 8.8 weeks - the second year that Sophie has received the Award, following her success in 2016 when Sophie received the Award for an average period of 9.06 weeks! Congratulations and well done Sophie!! Stephen Thomas Introducer Service Award Stephen Thomas has always strived to build effectve and mutually rewarding relationships with his Introducers. Stephen s desire to build these working relationships with the Pinkmove Team achieved wonderful results with Pinkmove becoming one of the most productive introducing sources for us last year. 10 page 9 Staff Newsletter 2018 REVOLUTIONARY CONVEYANCING Convey Law Career Pathways The following information outlines the career pathways available at Convey Law from new starters through to Senior Conveyancers and Team Supervisors. Training at Convey Law is provided in house by accredited and experienced Conveyancers and Tutors in our state of the art training facilities. Our training programmes are practical and based on best conveyancing practice. OUR CAREER PATHWAY Conveyancing Technician Salary: 17,000 19,000 Conveyancing Paralegals who excel, progress into a Conveyancing Technician role. Conveyancing Technicians receive additional in depth modular training in relation to conveyancing practice and our policies and procedures and will run a small number of their own cases under the direct supervision of their Conveyancing Supervisor. Our Conveyancing Supervisors are experienced Conveyancers who provide training, coaching and mentoring for our Technicians and Trainee Conveyancers. Trainee Conveyancer Role Salary: 20,000 25,000 Conveyancing Technicians who excel become Trainee Conveyancers. Trainee Conveyancers have their own caseloads and work under the supervision of a Conveyancing Supervisor. They are taught how to conduct a caseload of Freehold and Leasehold transactions as well as more complex New Build and Unregistered Titles. All Trainee Conveyancers are enrolled on the Convey Law sponsored Conveyancing Academy Trainee Conveyancer Course, which provides in depth practical academic training and qualification. Consideration will be given to starting / continuing / achieving accreditation as a Licensed Conveyancer or similar legal qualification. Conveyancer Role Salary: 25,000 30,000 Conveyancers are responsible for larger, more complex caseloads and the management of a conveyancing team with Paralegal / Conveyancing Technician support. Conveyancers progress into this role as and when they are comfortable with their caseload and managing and mentoring Paralegals. Conveyancers will have commenced / achieved accreditation as a Licensed Conveyancer or a similar legal qualification or will have sufficient experience to justify their position in the role. Conveyancing Supervisor Role Salary: 30,000 40,000+ Our Conveyancing Supervisors are experienced Conveyancers who provide training, coaching and mentoring for our Technicians and Trainee Conveyancers as well as managing a small more complex caseload. Working directly with the Directoral team, our Conveyancing Supervisors help to design and implement best practice policies and procedures within the company. Conveyancing Supervisors will have commenced / achieved accreditation as a Licensed Conveyancer or a similar legal qualification or will have sufficient experience to justify their position in the role. info@conveylaw.com

11 page 10 Staff Newsletter 2018 REVOLUTIONARY CONVEYANCING Revolutionary Conveyancing Many of our clients encounter significant time delays on the day of completion when moving house. These delays are inevitably caused by the delay of receipt of completion funds between the various legal practices involved in a property transaction. In November 2017, Convey Law facilitated the first ever completion under the new Conveyancing Association Code for Completion. The code ensures that funds are transferred to the seller s conveyancer the working day before the completion date, rather than on the day, allowing for completion to take place at the contractual time and avoiding delays. THE CONVEYANCING ASSOCIATION Annual Conference & Dinner 2017 We organised the Conveyancing Association Annual Conference and Dinner which was held at Stamford Bridge on 7th December 2017, with over 300 professionals from the conveyancing industry in attendance.
