And from 1981 to 1995 toiled as the CFO/CEO of the National Management Company, Inc., a campaign consulting firm whose clients ranged from U.S.

She also began visiting Key West frequently, a city where she made fast friends she retains to this day. Eventually, she traded in her life in the snowy Northeast for a new one in sunny Key West.

she later became a mortgage broker, a position she held for a decade. From there, she found her way into selling Key West real estate, an occupation in which she has thrived for the past 13 years.

This 2004 Queen of Fantasy Fest has involved herself with local organizations and charities far too numerous to comprehensively list here.

Originally from Sault Ste. Marie, Mich., King studied Master s Level Communications at Michigan State University, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts Degree, Pre-Law. She moved to Washington, D.C. to work for a member of Congress. And from 1981 to 1995 toiled as the CFO/CEO of the National Management Company, Inc., a campaign consulting firm whose clients ranged from U.S. presidential nominees, house and senate, gubernatorial, and state legislative candidates, as well as referenda campaigns. She also began visiting Key West frequently, a city where she made fast friends she retains to this day. Eventually, she traded in her life in the snowy Northeast for a new one in sunny Key West. From In the late 90s, King developed and ran Key West Conch Traders, Inc., a mail-order and online business which sold local products to customers all over the world. she later became a mortgage broker, a position she held for a decade. From there, she found her way into selling Key West real estate, an occupation in which she has thrived for the past 13 years. Currently, she holds her broker s license with Doug Mayberry Real Estate, Inc.. But Ginger King has always made time to give back to the people of Key West. My favorite part about living here is the people the community, King said. I have never lived in a place where daily, hourly, people demonstrate that they care about other people. The best part of being in real estate is being able to match buyers with their dream home, King said. This job also keeps me exposed to diverse architecture, unique interior designs, rich landscaping one really never knows what you will experience until you walk through the front door. In her spare time, King enjoys hanging out with her many friends and pets, reading good hard-bound books, including historical novels. (She s currently writing one of her own.) Playing card games, sea kayaking, and taking in culture at The Studios of Key West are other interests, as is helping her friend Leslie Leland with her Mix Mercantile boutique on Duval Street. Amazingly, she still finds time to deal Blackjack at charity casino events, from time to time. So fun! she said. What I would like people to understand about me is that everything I do, whether my real estate business or community involvement, requires a complete personal commitment and dedication to doing the right thing.
