2 Jul 7 Masonry crew works a half-day on Saturday removing extra boards from tower scaffolding, building BSRC dining area scaffolding, and adding a few more bricks to the private retreatant area

3 Jul 7 Painting crew puts in a long, hot full day in Ottilia Hall

4 Jul 9 Up with more scaffolding

5 Jul 9 Bricking up another column near private retreatant area entrance

6 Jul 9 A touch of welding left to do now that the scaffold is in place

7 Jul 9 Sewer line work resumes with crossing the sidewalk over to Benedictine Manor and up the hill around Mary Hall

8 Jul 9 Painters back at it in 2 nd Ottilia working in the hard-to-reach places

9 Jul 9 Plumbing progress at the BSRC dining area restrooms

10 Jul 9 Sewer line progress by mid-afternoon while the ground cries out, How dry I am

11 Jul 9 Column progress from the masons

12 Jul 9 Electricians at work in 1 st Ottilia power panel

13 Jul 9 A final coat for the hardwood floors in most Ottilia bedrooms on 3 rd and 2 nd floors

14 Jul 9 Last sections of sheetrock begin going in now that the Ottilia tower is completed on the outside

15 Jul 9 Bathroom mirrors and towel racks go in on 3 rd Ottilia

16 Jul 10 Masons are readying to make the first row of bricks across the top of the private retreatant bedroom windows

17 Jul 10 Heading uphill to place the first manhole in the ground

18 Jul 10 The Sisters cannot contain their delight and amazement as the Ottilia tower gets scrubbed clean and the scaffolding comes down

19 Jul 10 Placement of corner edges in the rounded arches on 1 st Ottilia and smoothing over with mud

20 Jul 10 Insulation continues to go on the kitchen & BSRC dining area ductwork

21 Jul 10 Success at placing the first manhole

22 Jul 10 Some good-looking masonry above those windows

23 Jul 10 Washing the windows align with the brick and removing the scaffolds on the Ottilia tower

24 Jul 11 In spite of the gathering rain clouds the masons begin the day with hope

25 Jul 11 Sewer line crew is hopeful, too

26 Jul 11 At 8:00am the much needed rain begins and the masons call it a day

27 Jul 11 After busting 1 water line, 4 more are discovered as the sewer line crew perseveres with much patience and care with a group in the Retreat Center; only two lengths of pipe were installed today

28 Jul 11 Sheetrock crew in high gear on 1 st Ottilia

29 Jul 11 3 rd Ottilia bedroom with tower bathroom gets sheetrock installation finished and the first coat of mud

30 Jul 11 2 nd Ottilia bedroom with tower bathroom completed with insulation and sheetrock

31 Jul 11 2 nd Ottilia walls and woodwork getting finishing touches

32 Jul 11 2 nd Ottilia southeast bedrooms finished except for floors

33 Jul 11 3 rd Ottilia bedrooms soon to be crossed off the to-do list

34 Jul 12 Underneath the center stairwell the new restroom gets sheetrock and plumbing attention

35 Jul 12 Insulation goes onto ductwork in mechanical rooms

36 Jul 12 Passageway furring work begins

37 Jul 12 Another sheetrock delivery

38 Jul 12 Ottilia tower scrubbing and washing continues as rain drops come and go

39 Jul 12 A flurry of sheetrock activity on 1 st Ottilia

40 Jul 12 A flurry of sheetrock activity on 2 nd and 3 rd Ottilia, too

41 Jul 12 Caulking around doorframes in 1 st Ottilia offices; reused door from Gusmus now separates the 2 nd Ottilia kitchenette and community room

42 Jul 12 Readying 2 nd and 3 rd Ottilia rooms for the first punch list review

43 Jul 13 With Ottilia tower washing completed, the last of the scaffolding comes down

44 Jul 13 Sewer line work continues up the hill toward the 2 nd manhole location, cutting through asphalt and digging up tree roots as they go may there be no more water lines!

45 Jul 13 Painters in the Infirmary hallway; sheetrock mud goes up at the center stairwell

46 Jul 13 Taping up newly installed sheetrock on 1 st Ottilia

47 Jul 13 Passageway work continues

48 Jul 13 Glass and gaskets for windows await installation

49 Jul 13 Mechanical and wall-framing crews work simultaneously around kitchen ductwork shaft

50 Jul 13 Installing wooden supports for BSRC Dining Area cabinets

51 Jul 13 Safety box keeps workers on the sewer line safe from caving walls while they work 10 feet below ground level in such a narrow space

52 Jul 13 So far so good with the sewer line digging; installing water run-off pipe along the same trench

53 Jul 13 Masons approach the BSRC Dining Room east windows

54 Jul 13 Adding gravel to the grassy path to ensure safer arrival & departure of guests, Sisters, and employees

55 Jul 13 Where, oh where has that water line gone? Where, oh where can it be???

56 Jul 13 Late in the day, placement of the second manhole
