3 MEET THE SPEAKERS Louie Burns, Leasehold Solutions Louie is the Managing Director of Leasehold Solutions, one of the largest companies of its kind carries out thousands of lease extensions and freehold acquisitions every year, working exclusively for leaseholders. Well known for his campaigning work on behalf of leaseholders, Louie frequently speaks in front of leaseholders and writes about issues that affect them. Tim Wakelin With over 25 years experience working in estate agency, lettings, insurance and training Tim now helps companies manage risk, generate income and develop and grow their market share. He speaks regularly at conferences around the UK and has written articles on, risk management, inventories, tenant referencing, training and motivation for various publications. Paul Jager, MOL Paul became an estate agent in 1985 and later owned a successful estate agents in London for 14 years. He joined MOL in 2004 and was soon after promoted to Head of the Property Division with responsibility for property training and the development of workbooks that support Propertymark Qualifications. Daniel Barea, Rightmove Daniel is a leading Insights Analyst specialising in consumer behaviour. He is working with Rightmove to help shape the company s strategy in engaging with its vast audience. Having access to one of the UK s largest online audiences places him in a position to acquire a unique understanding of today s home-mover. Jason Lee, SDL Auction Partners Jason has a wealth of agency experience with over 20 years working in corporate and independent agencies with the last five years working within live and online auctions across the country. Jason is passionate about auctions and thrives on bringing the service to more agents and vendors with a huge focus on service. Robert Bolwell, Dutton Gregory Robert has been a partner in the firm since 1987 and is head of the Landlord and Tenant Department. Robert works on more complicated dilapidation and possession cases, advises a number of clients with large block management portfolios and provides property related advice on insolvencies. James Munro, Trading Standards James is the Head of National Trading Standards Estate Agency Team (NTSEAT), which is the UK s Lead Enforcement Authority for estate agency work. James is a Chartered Trading Standards Practitioner and was Chair of the Wales Branch of the Chartered Trading Standards Institute from 2013 to Nick Hankey, Tenancy Deposit Scheme (TDS) Nick is a Chartered Accountant and joined TDS in He is a key member of the board and management team, working closely with the Chief Executive on special projects and initiatives. Nick also sits on the boards of SafeDeposits Scotland and TDS Northern Ireland.
4 Nick Bailey, Homeflow Nick manages Homeflow s Key Accounts as well liaising with design partner network. He has previously worked in the Microsoft apps team and more recently, in a small user experience agency. He has extensive knowledge of web design, conversion rate optimisation and digital marketing, especially within the property sector. Peter E Savage, ARLA Propertymark Peter s career as a property professional began over 30 years ago, during which he has covered every aspect of the lettings market. He has been actively involved with ARLA Propertymark and now in his second term as President is determined that with the announced move to full regulation, we play a major role in the creation and enforcement of the regulatory framework. Mark Bentley, NAEA Propertymark Mark is NAEA Propertymark President and has been a member for 36 years. Mark created and runs the companies his company s exclusive and rural homes department selling upmarket homes in Birmingham, Sutton Coldfield and Walsall and rural homes including cottages, farmhouses, barn conversion, equestrian properties, halls in Staffordshire and Warwickshire. Mark Hayward, NAEA Propertymark Mark ran a UK-wide estate agency operation covering sales, lettings and property management. He was a director of a national financial services company. Mark has acted as a consultant to national and regional developers, housing associations, city funds and property companies large and small.
