This program will explore the issues and trends that are ever changing the reality of the real estate industry and affecting the lives of real estate educators and how they train real estate agents. This presentation covers the residential, commercial, technology, niche markets, politics, and the many changes taking place that will impact the future of real estate and how educators prepare for it. Breakout Session AM Friday, December 15, 2006 Leaders Must Lead Leadership used to be knowing all the right answers. Today, it is about asking the right questions. As educators and leaders, if you do everything like everyone else, no matter how hard you try, you won't make much of a difference. It is your business to structure your schools and their leadership in a way that makes a difference and propels you toward success! This unique presentation will explore the legacy of great leaders, what they can show us and how we as real estate educators can make a positive difference in the real estate industry and people s lives. Craig Harrington, SRA Mr. Harrington is nationally known for the Presenting with Power seminar and has taught it at instructor conferences in Los Angeles, New York City, and Las Vegas and has also trained instructors at Prosource Educational Services. This course is divided into two sessions. AM Thursday, December 14, 2006 Presenting with Power: Presentation Strategies that Work This morning session is intended to guide instructors both beginner and advanced in how to shape and refine their presentation skills for greater success. PM Thursday, December 14, 2006 Presenting with Power: Creating a Dynamic Learning Environment This afternoon session is more advanced and covers the topic of dynamic learning environments and demonstrates how PowerPoint and other technical tools can be effectively used in the classroom. Breakout Session: Fraud and Appraiser Liability AM Friday, December 15, 2006 Presenters: Craig Harrington and John Maggi The first issue this breakout session covers is what educators need to know about appraisal fraud. Instructors play an important role in alerting soon-tobe-licensed appraisers to fraudulent appraisal schemes and mortgage scams that can ensnare them. The second issue covered in this session is how to prepare students in your classes to avoid liability as they carry out their appraisal practice. Breakout Session PM Friday, December 15, 2006 Balance is Strength You should not confuse your career with your life. Know what is important. A job title doesn't even come close to answering the question, Who are you and what do you do?" This powerful PowerPoint presentation will explore the aspects of balancing your life.
