7 Department of Planning Briefing Paper June 25, 2014 Open Session Issue: Westminster Annexation No K & G Properties, LLC. Background: The City of Westminster is currently processing annexation request No K & G Properties, LLC. This annexation is for 4.98 acres of the K & G property located east of the City s municipal limits with frontage on eastbound MD Route 140, located about 410 feet east of Hemlock Lane. The annexation also encompasses the right-of-way of MD Route 140 extending +/-890 feet east from the existing City limits at Hemlock Lane. The annexation area is in the County s General Business Zoning District and has a land use designation in both the 2009 City of Westminster Comprehensive Plan and the County s 2007 Westminster Environs Community Comprehensive Plan as Commercial. The City has indicated its intent to place the annexation area in the B Business zoning district.
