2 Executive Biographies Howard Newman, ASA, CEA President of Loeb (773) Howard is president and the fifth generation of the Newman family leadership at Loeb. He has over 20 years of experience in equipment purchases and sales, appraisals, auctions, and liquidations with advanced expertise in the food, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and chemical industries. Howard attended the University of Delaware majoring in Business Management. He earned the designation of Accredited Senior Appraiser as administered by the American Society of Appraisers (ASA) as well as being a Certified Equipment Appraiser (CEA) as administered by the Association of Machinery and Equipment Appraisers (AMEA) and is a licensed auctioneer. Charles Winternitz, CEA, CSA President of Loeb Winternitz Industrial Auctioneers (773) charlesw@loebwinternitz.com Charles is a fourth generation appraiser and auctioneer. A graduate of the University of Iowa, he holds a Bachelor of the Arts Degree. He is a certified equipment appraiser and Immediate Past President and Board of Director of the Association of Machinery and Equipment Appraisers (AMEA). Additionally, Charles sits on the Board of Directors and is an Executive Officer of the Machinery Dealers National Association, and Past Officer and Board of Director of the Industrial Auctioneers Association. Charles is an Associate Appraiser with the American Society of Appraisers, a member of the Turnaround Management Association and the American Bankruptcy Institute, as well as other state and regional trade associations. He has been an active Board Member on several other private companies and charitable associations.
