2 In line with our FY theme, "Architecture.Evolution, Now and Beyond," we will feature special dialogues on how the Architectural Design Industry has evolved in our world where a plethora of technology are accessibly used to modify and enhance our everyday existence in the universe. We question, how does the fast-paced modern world, with its evolving needs and the advent of digital Architecture, affect Design in terms of local and international Architecture -through Design + Strategies, Re-Use + Transformation, Interior Design + Branded Environments and Landscape Architecture. How does the world's changing needs affect the purpose and repurposing of structures when it comes to Design, Innovation, Diversity, Sustainability and Wellness? Our CPD Seminar will channel all these curiosities of our practice, graced by interesting personalities who tackled how Architecture has evolved, and these are none other but the Top Architects of our country who are Shapers and Movers of the Architectural Industry! Michael Conrad S. Carandang met with the MMDA officials, headed by its chairman, Brig. Gen. Danilo Lim to discuss on how the chapter can help in some of its major projects for Metro Manila. Some of the notable projects that were discussed are the various beautification projects all over the metropolis, the tree planting activities in major thoroughfares and the planned new MMDA Building and Multipurpose complex in Ortigas Center, Pasig City. This topic is an integral part in the well being of an architect, and the chapter is bringing this event a notch higher by providing quality seminars and at same time, engaging its members in some activities such as yoga, meditation and the like. Michael Conrad S. Carandang met with the GF & Partners senior partners namely Arch. Jose Arlie Cruz, Arch. Annette Gaddi-Liganor and Arch. Teofilo Santiago and discussed the possibility of collaborating with the firm in providing more CPD seminars for the chapter and other UAP members. The firm will also help the chapter by providing additional sponsors for its various programs and seminars. Lastly, the chapter is preparing for the nomination of Arch. Jose Arlie Cruz and Arch. Vanessa Ledesma, posted in the official facebook page of UAP last Sept. 27, 207. UAP Makati member Ar. Toni Vasquez visits the UAP HQ last September 207. Ar. Toni is the daughter of Ar. Topy Vasquez, the architect who won the competition to design the headquarters of UAP. Ar. Topy is also an active member of UAP Makati. Sadly, he passed away due to the complication of his health. The UAP HQ recognizes the works and contribution of Ar. Topy to the profession and the organization. According to the post of Ar. Vanessa, Ar. Toni met with the chairs of the Committee on Ways and Means and the Committee on Membership. Ar. Toni will help to enhance the exterior and interior of UAP HQ.
