3 From Project Team... The settlement to the rising slopes from the seaside is one of the best-known images of the Aegean. Houses lined up on each other, to endless blue, a window that opens and closes with excitement as a blink, lavender flowers that surround the stone houses tightly formed a culture in this region s miraculous nature. As the project team; we came out by understanding this culture of the Aegean. We have placed our houses towards the slope by feeling and sustaining that texture. We shaped our land with gentle and skillful touches. We aimed to absorb the region and take our place quietly in its continuity, as if we were always there, not new... We built our Valory Houses from 13 different structures of different sizes. We have connected our houses, which are scattered in an inner street, with shaded narrow passages. We have created an architectural identity with the region s own textures. We took care to use all the elements of the tile, stone, wood and pass them through the time filter. We enjoyed dreaming and drawing while we were taking our inspiration from Çeşme. We are sure that those who live here will share the same pleasure.
