1 Residential Parking Survey The City of Vaughan is currently reviewing the Parking By law and the Zoning By law to address residential parking concerns. We would like your input into a proposed parking solution for residential parking. The City of Vaughan s current Parking By law restricts street parking during the day to a maximum of three hours (between a.m. and p.m.) and does not allow parking overnight (from 2 a.m. to a.m.). The Zoning By law places restrictions on the width of a driveway depending on lot width and restricts parking on walkways. A report to Council on Dec. 3, 2013 outlined a blended parking solution for residential areas: On Street Paid Parking Permit Program this program would only be implemented on streets where it is safe to do so. The number of permits issued would correspond to the number of available parking spaces on the street and would only be implemented through a successful petition process. On Street Paid Permit Parking could impact winter operations, such as windrow clearing and snow plowing. Driveway Widening (On Lot) Parking this option would allow parking on the front yard walkway (on the property owners side of the property line). The City will also develop green options, such as permeable pavers, as suggestions for those interested. Survey participants must be City of Vaughan residents who are 18 years of age or older.

Please add any other comments you may have about the proposed parking solutions for residential parking: 5
