2 OVERVIEW J.J. Dempers (Pty) Ltd is a Construction Company based in Paarl. We are registered as Master Builders and a member of the Boland Master Builders Association (MBA) We provide a full range of construction services with multi disciplinary capabilities and expertise. We specialize in the building of up market residential dwellings and the construction of a diverse assortment of commercial and industrial buildings. We cover a vast spectrum of construction related activities in the Boland and surrounding regions. We are also active with various property developments. Other niche markets consist of the construction of agricultural related buildings and healthcare facilities. Throughout the years our company has proven its worth through our quality craftsmanship. Our reputation speaks for itself. HISTORY Our founding member, J. J. Dempers (Oom Japie), established the company on 1 August 1948 after a partnership of 9 years operating as Timmerman Contractors. In the 1960 s the sons Johann and Philip Dempers, joined the business. The company, J.J. Dempers (Pty) Ltd, was registered in 1967, with oom Japie Dempers incorporating his two sons as directors. 3 COMPANY STRUCTURE CORPORATE GOVERNANCE J.J. Dempers (Pty) Ltd maintain a high level of hands-on corporate governance and this affirms the commitment and dedication with integrity and accountability. J.J. Dempers (Pty) Ltd is a registered private non listed company. We have been a founding member of the Boland Master Builders Association since 1949 and abide by their code of association. We are also registered with the Building Industries Bargaining Council, the National Home Builders Registration Council (NHBRC) (Registration number: 1290) and the Federated Employer Mutual Assurance Company (Policy number: ). We are widely represented on various technical and training committees, as well as serving on the executive committees of the Local and National Building Associations (Master Builders SA). The company has an annual turnover in excess of R100 M and is strategically managed and positioned not to over extend resources whilst providing focused products.

4 The directors of the Company are actively involved in the running of the above associations: 1. Johann Dempers is a Past President of B.I.F.S.A. (Building Industries Federation of South Africa) and served for more than 30 years on the executive committee of the local Boland Master Builders Association. He is an honorary member of this association. 2. André Dempers serves as the President on the Boland Master Builders Association and is an executive member of the National Body of Master Builders South Africa. He also serves on the executive committee of the Building Industries Bargaining Council. 3. Philip Dempers served for more than 30 years on many of the training and education committees in the industry as a Technical Advisor. He also served as an executive member of the Apprenticeship National Body of Executives. The company has over 200 direct employees, with the emphasis being on maintaining a core of highly skilled personnel for the various trades. We are complaint with all statutory corporate and industrial requirements. The company is proactive in broad based black economic empowerment and has the credentials of a level 7 BEE scorecard. All our suppliers are vetted and accredited to ensure a continued and quality supply chain. All our personnel in key positions on site are qualified with at least a diploma in construction management.

Our company has a sound financial status and is able to provide our clients with construction guarantees to the value of R 200 M.
