4 photo: Jestico + Whiles photo: Jestico + Whiles Hotel Villa Honegg Honegg Ennetbürgen This project is interior design of the luxurious boutique hotel Villa Honegg in, recently classified as 'Five Star Superior'' Sitting at an altitude of almost 1,000 metres on Mount Bürgenstock, the exclusive resort provides guests with a peaceful haven and magnificent views across Lake Lucerne The five storey chalet style hotel was originally built in 1905 in the Scandinavian 'Gustavian' style Its facades have been restored by local craftsman to ensure its survival for another century or more Hotel Villa Honegg is a luxurious private retreat with 23 suites and guestrooms, spa, fine-dining restaurant, conference facilities and a cinema-quality screening room An outdoor infinity pool and whirlpool has stunning views over the lake and mountains The design for the interiors were inspired by the breathtaking scenery in which the hotel is set photo: Jestico + Whiles , Interior architect Jestico + Whiles Jestico Private 24 hour reception Located at 914 metres above sea level in the heart of, the hotel is set above Ennetbürgen and not far from Lucerne 4

5 photo: José F García Martín photo: José F García Martín Migros Shopping Centre Hertensteinstrasse Luzern This project was the winning proposal of a competition to substitute a service wing of the Schweizerhof Hotel, a 19th century building, for the new headquarters of Migros department stores It reconciles the architectural and urban demands with those imposed by the commercial needs The site is located in the meeting point between the fabric of the historic centre and the larger one of the lake promenade The shopping centre is a free-standing volume which performs as a profane counterpoint to the neighbouring church of St Matthew The construction adopts a symmetrical and stepped silhouette towards the sides The façade is made of light copper wash panels, whose width determines the basic module; despite being randomly distributed, the glazed panels are hardly noticeable thanks to a fixation system that is furred onto the metallic panels The greenish tone acquired by the copper helps to blend the building with its urban context: the tree-lined promenade along the lakeside photo: José F García Martín Floor area/size m² Landscape designer Diener & Diener Stefan Koepfli Genossenschaft Migros / Hotel Schweizerhof Jose_Garcia 5

6 photo: Roderick Trompert photo: Roderick Trompert Pavillon am See Seestrasse Weggis The traditional Weggis Oberquai has always been a focal point in Weggis This area was reclaimed from the lake over 99 years ago thus providing a public area where guests and locals could relax on the lakeside and enjoy the panoramic scenery This is still the case today On the 4th, 5th and 6th of May 2007 the new pavilion was officially opened It takes the place of the old, smaller building that was built in 1909 The new pavilion is multifunctional: the orchestra still plays on a regular basis, the locals still produce a variety of concerts, folklore evenings and shows It is also well equipped for larger events such as the Rose festival, the Riviera Latina Festival and the Heirassa Festival photo: Roderick Trompert Floor area/size m² General consultant Bosshard & Luchsinger Architekten Paul Zimmermann + Partner Gemeinde Weggis Roderick Take the AAGS bus to Weggis Schiffstation or take the boat from Luzern across the Vierwaldstättersee to Weggis 6
