2 Welcome to Aydon Homes The knowledge and experience applied in the development of our properties stems from personal experience dating back many years. The first farm building conversion became our first home and that was the way we managed to get on the property ladder! Further properties followed, ranging from farm conversions to new build properties, combining both traditional and timber frame construction. 3 HUMSHAUGH AND THE SURROUNDING AREA Humshaugh is one of the most sought after village locations in the Hexham catchment area. The viilage offers a good local pub, renowned community run village shop, nearby hotel with leisure facilities and a first school recently rated as good and improving by OFSTED and all of this just 6 miles from the popular market town of Hexham. Humshaugh sits above an attractive stretch of the River North Tyne close to the gateway to Kielder Reservoir and on the doorstep of Hadrians Wall, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
