The Agra ME trade show was a major agricultural event in Dubai (UAE) and provided a forum to promote Alberta's agricultural industry in the UAE. Location: Canadian Consulate General, Dubai, UAE Function: 2017 NAMPO - Namibia Mission Date: May 7 25, 2017 Amount: $ Purpose: The purpose of this mission was to diversify markets, in order to expand Alberta's economy, to access new markets, and to prepare Alberta companies for success in the international community. The NAMPO trade show was a major agricultural event in South Africa and provided a forum to promote Alberta's agricultural industry in South Africa. Location: Canadian Consulate General in Johannesburg, South Africa Function: Seoul Food Show 2017 Date: May 9-20, 2017 Amount: $6, Purpose: Agriculture and Forestry, in cooperation with the Alberta Korea Office (AKO), led five Alberta companies in a trade mission to exhibit and conduct a walking program at the Seoul Food Show. Companies received market briefings, site tours, and participated in a networking event with targeted Korean buyers. Location: Seoul, South Korea

6 Function: Jeong-Dong Cultural Night Date: May 26 27, 2017 Amount: $1, Purpose: Agriculture and Forestry worked in collaboration with the Alberta Korea Office (AKO) and the Embassy of Canada in Seoul to support an in-market beef promotion during the Jeon-Dong Cultural Night, in order to raise the profile of Canadian beef with key Korean consumers and stakeholders. Location: Seoul, South Korea Function: Queen Bee Garden Incoming Mission Date: July 2 6, 2017 Amount: $1, Purpose: This mission involved incoming honey buyers from Queen Bee Gardens, who is a significant importer and packager of honey in the Japanese market. The company was visiting Alberta to grow and diversify its suppliers within the province. Location: Edmonton, Valleyview, and Calgary, Alberta Function: Incoming Indian Pulse Buyers Mission Date: July 5 7, 2017 Amount: $3, Purpose: A large contingent of Indian pulse buyers visited the Canadian Special Crops Convention in Vancouver in July Agriculture and Forestry s International Relations and Marketing Division leveraged this event to invite several of the buyers to Edmonton before the Convention, to profile the agriculture and pulse sectors in Alberta. Location: Edmonton, Alberta Function: 2017 Century Farm & Ranch Award Recognition Events Date: July 6 and 27, 2017 and August 22, 2017 Amount: $12, Purpose: The Minister formally recognized fifty-five farm families that received the Century Farm & Ranch Award in Three separate events were held in and across Alberta under this initiative. The events built strategic relationships and raised public awareness for the award, as well as the significant contributions of these families to the agriculture sector and their rural communities. Location: Vegreville, Camrose and Lethbridge, Alberta Function: Profile Alberta Forum at Pulses 2017 Date: July 10 12, 2017 Amount: $4, Purpose: Agriculture and Forestry hosted a Profile Alberta forum for international buyers at Pulses 2017, a joint convention in Vancouver, organized by Canadian Special Crops Association (CSCA) and Global Pulse Confederation (GPC). Location: Vancouver, British Columbia

7 Function: Stampede Investment Forum Agriculture Program Date: July 9 12, 2017 Amount: $1, Purpose: The 2017 Stampede Investment Forum provided select companies with a unique opportunity to learn about investment opportunities in Alberta's energy, agriculture, and tourism sectors. Location: Calgary, Alberta Function: Premier's Calgary Stampede Breakfast Date: July 10, 2017 Amount: $10, Purpose: The Premier's Calgary Stampede Breakfast is an annual tradition that enables the premier and cabinet members to connect directly with Albertans. Location: Calgary, Alberta Function: AQSIQ China Inspector's Visit Alberta Forage Plants Date: July 17 20, 2017 Amount: $1, Purpose: Three AQSIQ inspectors from China travelled to Alberta to complete a five year audit on the existing facilities that have been registered, as well as complete inspections on agricultural plants that wish to have the China export permit. Three Alberta plants were visited. Location: Lethbridge, Olds and Calgary, Alberta Function: US State Agriculture Officials Incoming to Calgary Date: August 14 15, 2017 Amount: $5, Purpose: Agriculture and Forestry hosted a US Agriculture Officials Delegation within the margins of the 2017 Canadian Beef Industry Conference in Calgary. Agriculture and Forestry partnered with the Alberta Beef Producers at a profiling/introductions dinner. As well, Agriculture and Forestry hosted a US-Canada Bilateral breakfast to openly discuss bilateral trade and US-Canada relations. Location: Calgary, Alberta Function: Incoming UAE Chefs Mission Date: August 14 20, 2017 Amount: $9, Purpose: The purpose of this mission was to promote Alberta's beef and other meat products to high profile chefs from the Middle East, with the goal of making Alberta the supplier of choice in the market. The program included tours of farms, processing plants, and engagement with local chefs, to enhance the knowledge surrounding Alberta products. Location: Calgary, Alberta

8 Function: Texas Farm Bureau Incoming to Calgary Date: September 9, 2017 Amount: $ Purpose: Agriculture and Forestry hosted the Texas Farm Bureau at the Canadian Beef Centre of Excellence, as part of the federal government's advocacy/education mission across four provinces. Alberta's agriculture sector was profiled to an influential US group during the initial stage of the North American Free Trade Agreement renegotiation. Location: Calgary, Alberta Function: Eurasia Livestock and Machinery Mission to Turkey and Ukraine Date: September 16 October 2, 2017 Amount: $1, Purpose: This mission focused on promoting Alberta's cattle, sheep, and goat genetics in Turkey, through a series of seminars in collaboration with local partners in Turkey. In addition to livestock genetics, the mission also included a visit to Ukraine with a focus on agricultural machinery and equipment. Location: Turkey and Ukraine Function: Livestock and Health Ingredients Mission to Korea, Japan and Myanmar Date: September 18 October 7, 2017 Amount: $4, Purpose: Agriculture and Forestry led an outgoing trade mission anchored around KISTOCK and HI Japan from September 18 to October 7, Companies received booths, market briefings, site tours, and B2B meetings. A separate program stream took companies to Livestock Myanmar 2017 show in Yangon, Myanmar from September 26-30, Location: Seoul and Daegu (South Korea); Fukoka and Tokyo (Japan); Yangon (Myanmar) Function: 2017 Saudi Agriculture-Jordan Mission Date: October 7-16, 2017 Amount: $2, Purpose: The purpose of this mission was to diversify markets, in order to expand Alberta's economy, to access new markets, and to prepare Alberta companies for success in the international community. The Saudi Agriculture trade show was a major agricultural event in Saudi Arabia and provided a forum to promote Alberta's agricultural industry in this country. Location: Canadian Embassy, Ryadh, Saudi Arabia and Jordan Function: KazAgro 2017 Mission Date: October 20 29, 2017 Amount: $1, Purpose: Agriculture and Forestry led a mission focusing on livestock and agricultural machinery to the KazAgro 2017 show which is the biggest agriculture trade show in Kazakhstan. The mission was organized in collaboration with Saskatchewan and included the participation of companies from both provinces. Location: Almaty and Astana, Kazakhstan

9 Function: Hanwha Trading Incoming Mission Date: October 29 November 3, 2017 Amount: $ Purpose: Agriculture and Forestry, in collaboration with the Alberta Korea Office (AKO), coordinated an incoming buyer mission with South Korea's Hanwha Trading. Hanwha Trading was seeking new specialty grain and oat suppliers from Alberta. Location: Edmonton, Calgary, Lethbridge and Medicine Hat, Alberta Function: Farmfair International 2017 Date: November 7 12, 2017 Amount: $2, Purpose: This event helped the International Relations and Marketing Division to build and enhance strategic relationships with international buyers and industry, and to promote Canada as a reliable supplier of premium products. In addition, it provided the ability to showcase Alberta and its expertise in the agriculture and food sector, while also promoting Alberta's high standards. Location: Edmonton, Alberta Function: Food and Hospitality China 2017 Date: November 9 20, 2017 Amount: $1, Purpose: Agriculture and Forestry led a trade mission, of up to thirteen Alberta companies, to showcase their food and food ingredient products, and to develop new trade leads resulting in future sales. A market assessment mission was conducted at the Vietfood & Beverage 2017 tradeshow in Vietnam, held prior to the FHC show program. Location: Shanghai, China and Hanoi, Vietnam Function: Kaz Head of Livestock and Hereford Incoming Date: November 26 28, 2017 Amount: $1, Purpose: The International Relations and Marketing Division coordinated an incoming buyer mission for eight delegates from Kazakhstan's Hereford Association and Head of Livestock Department. This was the highest profile visit to Alberta from Kazakhstan, since Farmfair International 2013, and positions Alberta to advocate for better cattle import policies. Location: Calgary, Alberta Function: Seoulution Incoming Mission Date: December 10 14, 2017 Amount: $ Purpose: The International Relations and Marketing Division, in collaboration with the Alberta Korea Office (AKO), coordinated an incoming buyer mission by South Korea's Seoulution Corporation. Seoulution Corporation used this event to seek new health ingredients and forage suppliers from Alberta. Location: Edmonton, Calgary, Lethbridge and Medicine Hat, Alberta

10 Culture and Tourism Hosting Expenses Exceeding $ For the Period October 1, 2017 to December 31, 2017 Function: 2017 Annual Elders Gathering Date: October 18, 2017 Amount: $ 5, Purpose: Blessing, meal and storytelling honouring the Elders from the four Blackfoot Tribes. This event also recognizes the advisory role of the Elders.
