IW s well received. Nov 9-11 Baltimore Irish Festival at Timonium Fairgrounds in Cow Palace. Nov 17 Montgomery County (Silver Spring) Thanksgiving Parade. s with details of upcoming events to be sent out this week. EVENTS COMMITTEE (SHOW) COMMITTEE CHAIR: Dee Van Nest Show Secretary: Tammy Aube Dee V. working on setting up a meeting; will send to announce meeting date, time and place. FUN MATCH COMMITTEE CHAIR: Gary Van Nest Food Coordinator: Vacant Made $140 in entries, and approx. $140 in W&M. Lots of new people attended. Club needs to reimburse Gary for $150. Jodie volunteered to be chair for 08, Gary will mentor. According to Jodie, Susan Arnold wants to be food coordinator for 08, Denise will mentor. NEWSLETTER COMMITTEE CHAIR: Tammy Aube Judie Jeweler Judie reported that a new edition to be sent out soon. There will be new sections. One section will be called Book Shelf, where anyone can recommend a book with info on the breed, dog care, Ireland, etc. along with a short book report. OBEDIENCE & RALLY COMMITTEE CHAIR: Jodie Jeweler Carole Silverthorne Jodie said that the Murphys have the equipment. PLACEMENT & RESCUE COMMITTEE CHAIR: Diane & Tom Hartney No report. SUNSHINE CHAIR: Judie Jeweler Jodie Jeweler Cards sent to: Dee B for a virus, Dani for the lost of Flynn, Mary O for the lost of Shane & Murphy, Christa Moyle for the lost of both her parents, Denise and Aislinn for endometriosis, Caoimhe for being spayed, Van s Mother, Joyce Wendt for illness, Christina for kidney stone, Brehls for their freezer dying, Rory for spine surgery, and Jeanette of course. Flowers sent to: Paul Herring for the passing of his wife Mary. Thank you note sent to Susan to send out to membership for the trees planted in the memory of Jewelers grandfather s passing. Dylan & Limerick both sick and seeing doctors this week. 3

Followup (reminder) From PVIWC Meeting Agenda June 11, 2006 by Tammy Aube: Tammy s last year as Show Secretary will be She is glad to mentor someone in 2009 (2008 if replacement is available.). a. Tammy has not contacted Pat Reilly regarding taking over as Show Secretary. Pat Reilly has some software for Show Sec. DOS based (very old). Might have been updated. If we get Pat to be Show Sec. 1) there may be a fee involved and 2) if she does more than 4 shows she has to pay AKC a fee. Still need to find new show sec. 2. Board to appoint a new Chair and Co-Chair for the Trophy Committee. Notice to be sent to the General Membership regarding committee vacancies. Notice sent. See Trophy committee above. 3. Has 2006 Specialty Show photographer sent electronic copies? 2006 Specialty Show Photographer, Rob Garretty (sp), is not responding to the President s calls. We received pictures back from 2007 Show Photographer (with Dee V). The matter of the 2006 pictures will no longer be pursued, by consensus of the Board. Moot point. 4. Letter to Delaware Valley regarding Specialty catalog. Tammy will write a letter to Delaware Valley and forward it for the President to sign and send. Everyone thinks Tammy finalized letter and ed to Gary to print out, sign & mail. Gary will check his s. 5. In recognition of Marge Milne s continued support of our Specialty Show. The Board voted to give Marge Milne a $75 gift certificate to an art supply store in her area. Dee Brehl and Dee Van Nest will work on the gift certificate. Both Dee s absent; no report. 6. Who is the designated IWCA liaison? The consensus is that currently there is no one assigned to that position. Van will contact IWCA and ask if there is such a position and does the liaison have to be an Active Member of IWCA? Dee Van Nest would like to be considered for the position. Van & Dee V will be liaisons. NEW BUSINESS - Kara needs to know if she s needed as show vet for next year s Speciality. Gary to check with Tammy about getting this done officially. - Dues request to be sent out soon; Joe is working with Diane on mailing labels. - Susan said she got letters from AKC stating that the deadline was soon for our applications for our 08 Specialty; Gary to check with Tammy if applications have been filed, and to get any expenses into Joe. - Meeting closed at 1:35pm. 4
