Knowledge of birh daes has resuled in a complee rearrangemen of he firs generaion of page 52 and he inclusion for he firs ime of James Bogan - who mus surely be he son of Elizabeh Anne (Bogan). Two oher birhs in he rish Civil Regisraion ndex migh well be of his generaion bu - wih no supporing evidence - are no included his ime. They are Richard and Richard One enry which would have been a pleasure o have included is ha of Rober William - born Cork who, as a Rifleman in he 18h London Regimen (London rish Rifles) was killed in acion in France on 5 November 1918; less han a week before Armisice Day. would seem probable ha he was he son of Rober George and Mary Ladd, shown as "Laddie [34Rf' on page 52 - presumably a nickname derived from his moher's maiden name. More research will show wheher hey are indeed one and he same and wheher Rober William will be able o be given his righful place in hese pages. The process of presening such a concenraion of informaion is bound o reveal ha many readers know more deail of paricular pars of he family han he auhor. Any addiions or correcions would be mos welcome.

5 NOTES & QUERES My hanks o hose who helped me in my aemp o idenify an old family phoograph some monhs ago. belongs o David Brunsdon - son of Fred and Grace (nee ) Brunsdon - who knows ha i came from his moher's side of he family bu no wheher he subjec was a or a Denroche. [For an explanaion, see page 521. The phoograph shows a woman of abou fify, wearing a black dress wih whie cuffs and a whie bonne. She is siing on a baloon-back chair and is holding a book in her lap. The phoograph is ined, under a gilded wooden moun and in is original frame. The only clue o is origin is a label on he reverse which says: J.BURCHLL & Co., Picure Frame Makers, Gilders, ec., 33 Grand Parade, Cork. A large variey of Mouldings o selec from Telephone No 815 The Cork Direcories from 1906 o he presen day suggesed ha he firm had probably moved o Main Sree, Carrigwohill; and so i proved. We made conac bu found ha, when he presen generaion ook over he business, hey had a clear ou and now have no early records.
