It is a planned community, waterfront and was to include recreational and leisure activities. Its concept dates back to 2006 where the community was initially platted as Heron Point Landing, 500 multi family houses. In 2004 Wyld Land Development revised the plan and changed the name to Wyld Palms, with a proposed 364 homes, single family and condominiums and create 7 villages within the 85 gross acre site. The first Village was the Landings (to be 50 manor homes) at Wyld Palms with maintenance free manor homes along 3000' of shoreline. Other Villages within Wyld Palms were Harborside ( was to have 168 coach homes), Waterside (slated to have 40 Carriage homes), The Terraces-The Preserve-Parkside (all to be single family homes) and Dockside (slated to be custom built 1 or 2 story single family homes on the water). The community was going to include service commercial, like hair salon, nail salon, marina with 40 boat slips. Only 7 of the 24 homes that were built before receivership happened. There is an onsite person to aid in the maintenance that is being done. Of the 7 homes completed a few are livable. The community had planned a water taxi service to downtown Inverness. Inverness has created a Capital Action Plan, complete with recreation facilities, make Wyld Palms involved in that! Current Property Taxes as of April 2017 $115, page 2 of 25
