Hours: Sunday 2:00 4:00. Call The Dawes Arboretum: Founded in 1929, dedicated to increasing the love and knowledge of trees, history, and the natural world. Hours: Open daily. Call for hours. Flint Ridge State Memorial: An ancient flint quarry site used by Native Americans as long ago as 10,000 years. Grounds include several hiking trails. The museum displays uses of flint. For Hours Call or The Granville Historical Society: Chartered in 1885 this society s museum is in an 1816 building that was originally a bank. It displays Granville memorabilia. Hours: Weekends only in the summer. 3 The Underground Railroad/Black History Museum: A newly-formed organization under development. Call Webb House Museum: Built in 1907 and houses a collection of antiques and art. Also has a cottage garden with heirloom flowers. Hours: April December, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday 1:00 4:00. Call West Licking Historical Society: Covers the history of Etna, Harrison, and Jersey Townships, and the City of Pataskala. Developing a transportation museum in the restored Outville Historic Depot. Call The Works: Ohio Center for History, Art, and Technology. Houses an art gallery, interurban car, woodshop, and print shop. Hours: Tuesday Saturday 9:00 5:00. Call Women, Music, and Reform Room: RS 155 Facilitator: Dr. Lucy Murphy Student Chair: Shilo Miller: The Spirit of Women against the Spirits of the Bottle Sheila Maina: Harriet Tubman; From Slavery to Freedom James Maier: Woman Enough: Loretta Lynn, the Pill, and Woman s Empowerment Ye Olde Mill and Velvet Ice Cream Company: Ye Olde Mill is the fourth to stand on its hand-hewn stone foundation dating back to The Velvet Ice Cream Company purchased the mill in The mill houses a Museum of Milling and a Museum of Ice Cream. 4 Hebron Historical Society: Organized in 1974 and dedicated to the preservation of the village history. Call Hufford House Museum: Home of the Utica Historical Society. Contains artifacts of glass factories, and other historical displays. Hours: Sunday 2:00 4:00 or by appointment. Call Johnstown Town Hall and Opera House: One of only five remaining in Ohio and listed on the National Register of Historical Buildings. It houses the Johnstown Historical Society. Hours: First Sunday of each month 2:00 4:00 or by appointment. Call Licking County Genealogy Society: Extensive collection of birth, death, marriage, and other records of Ohio and other states. Hours: Open Tuesday - Saturday 1:00 4:00PM. Call Licking County Historical Buckingham House: Founded to encourage the preservation of the history of the county. It is housed in the Buckingham House. Hours: By appointment. The Sensibility of Early Nineteenth Century Surgery The Licking Valley Heritage Society: A newly-formed organization dedicated to preserving the history of the Licking Valley area of the county. Meets 4 th Saturday, 9AM LVHS Library. Museum under renovation. Call National Heisey Museum: Owned and operated by the Heisey Collectors of America. There are more than 5000 pieces of made-in-newark Heisey glassware on display. Hours: Open year round. Tuesday Saturday 10:00 4:00; Sunday 1:00 4:00. Call Newark Earthworks State Memorial: Geometric earthworks originally covering four square miles. They were built by an ancient Indian culture 2000 years ago.
