This was where the Defence Department prepared the horses for overseas duty. I was also informed that he later gifted the same piece of land to the Catholic Church for a Convent. All these stories will have to be researched. The funeral will leave the residence Upland Road for the Karori Cemetery after the service at about 10 a.m. tomorrow.
