Chairman's announcements: The vice-chairman presented the excuses of the chairman, who was unable to attend, and announced that Commissioner Mandelson would not be present the following day owing to the unveiling of the new Airbus A380, meaning the discussion with him would be held over until the next meeting. Replacing this item on the agenda was a presentation by the World Bank. 3. Announcement of decisions taken in coordinators' meeting The chairman announced the following decisions by the coordinators: The report on an interim agreement with Turkmenistan and the opinion on the conclusion of a Partnership and Cooperation Agreement with Turkmenistan had been attributed to the PPE-DE; The opinion on the EU's role in achieving the Millennium Development Goals had been attributed to the Verts/ALE; The opinion on the budget strategy for the 2006 budget had been attributed to the PSE; The opinion on the exploitation of children and child labour had been attributed to the ALDE; The mini-hearing on the REACH directive would be organised by the secretariat in close cooperation with the draftswoman, Godelieve Quisthoudt-Rowohl. To be invited were a representative of a large Member State that had taken part in the question and answer session with the Commission, a representative of the export industry, e.g. Eurometal, a representative of an SME and the Commission; The hearing on textiles was to take place at the meeting of April, and the hearing on poverty and hunger at the meeting of May. 5 two remaining hearings would be decided at a later date; The hearing on textiles would be organised by the secretariat in close cooperation with the rapporteur, Tokia Saïfi; There would be no resolution accompanying the oral question on textiles scheduled for the February part-session; It had only been possible to decide on the scheduling of a delegation visit. The delegation which was to focus on textiles would travel to Turkey from 5 to 7 October to examine the effects of the expiry on 1 January 2005 of the WTO Agreement on Textiles and Clothing; An Information Day on landmines would be held jointly with other committees; An exchange of views would be held with the Commission on the state of the banana market; The four candidates for the position of Director-General of the WTO were to be invited, beginning with the former Ambassador of Uruguay to the WTO, Mr Perez del Castillo, and former Commissioner Pascal Lamy. 11.
