2 The College The CTES College of Architecture in Chembur, Mumbai was established in July 2014 by the Chembur Trombay Education Society. The Chembur Trombay Education Society was formed in 1978, and has been running a College of Arts, Science and Commerce as well as several other disciplines. It is the first college of Architecture in the Eastern suburbs. Course: Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) Architecture is a discipline that encompasses various Arts and Sciences. The aim of Architectural education is to develop a well balanced creative and analytical mind, with an understanding of People, Culture and Place. Design of all Elements of the Built Environment at various scales with a judicious inter-relationship of Space, form, function and technology is what we strive for. -Prof. Ar. Computer lab With over 40 computers equipped with AutoCAD 18, Revit 17, 3DSMax, SketchUp, Photoshop, Microsoft Office 16 & Corel Draw graphics X7. Studios Library Access with over 1060 books, 200 e-books & Digital archive of Lectures, Computers and Printer. Workshops Used enthusiastically by all students. The machines are used during carpentry and metal upcycling elective for making models and installations. Material Museum With a display of architectural and interior building materials, structural members, sanitary fixtures & construction tools. Library Playground Facilities for playing outdoor games like football and cricket on an artificial turf and indoor games in Gymkhana. Auditorium With seating capacity of 300. 6 Course Structure CTESCOA offers a five year degree programme of Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch), recognized by the Council of Architecture (COA) and the University of Mumbai. The overall course structure is formulated within the framework of the Mumbai University Syllabus. 10 Outside the Classroom Our students have been participating in various sports competitions in and around Mumbai. Our sports facilities includes a turf pitch for Football and Cricket, and a gymkhana in the campus. Students life in the campus also comprises of organising Exhibitions and the Annual Festival Archinova and programs for Foundation day. Other events like Freshers day & Navratri are also organized at CTESCOA. We have been actively participating in events held by NASA (National Association of Students of Architecture) and have been appreciated for the same. This year, we have we are happy to associate with the Third School of Design as part FAB Biennale - a crucible for disruptors in design. 11 Admission Procedure Ÿ Candidates shall apply through the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) conducted online by the Competent Authority of Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Ÿ The Online Application form has to be confirmed and documents have to be verified at the facilitation centre by the candidate. Ÿ The Candidate should have obtained at least 40% marks at National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA), conducted by the Council of Architecture.
