The retail will front Queen Street and connect to the existing City of Brampton s City Hall and office complex immediately to the East. The subject space is located in phase one of the project, a nine-storey office building located at 41 George Street in. The project, which encompasses three-phases, is located in the heart of downtown Brampton and will serve as a catalyst for revitalization of the downtown core. The site is within walking distance of the Brampton GO Station. The city of Brampton will occupy 420,000 SF of office space within the new project. Brampton is the third largest city in the Greater Toronto Area, as of 2011 Brampton s population was 523,911 making it the ninth largest city in Canada. It s also one of Canada s fastest growing Municipalities with an average annual growth rate of 6.6% (2006). Site 1 & 1A of the project will contain a combined 13,984 SF of retail space. 5 Considered to be the Commercial Hub of Brampton, since 1853, combines contemporary residences in a historical setting with commerce, culture, entertainment, recreation and dining, all within a beautiful, walkable area. has many different businesses and services as well as The Bramalea City Centre, a major retail shopping mall. and the Queen Street Corridor house more than 1,700 businesses and services. The area is also home to the seat of municipal government, various cultural attractions, beautiful parks and outstanding community events. The downtown core has a residential population of 50,000 people within a two-kilometre radius and a 150,000 population within a five-kilometre radius.
