INFORM. ENTERTAIN. We love our OMA members and friends! As you can read in this annual report, we have so many wonderful supporters who help us succeed in our mission to assist Oklahoma museums with their efforts to educate, inform and entertain. Below you find just a few examples of OMA partnerships at work for Oklahoma museums! FY2016 was a productive and great year serving Oklahoma s 500+ museums while also helping to strengthen our own State Association profession. OMA is one of the five key partners on the s United Phase 2 (MUP2) which is an IMLS-supported initiative in which U.S. state museum associations are working collaboratively to achieve greater organizational success, so that we may better serve our museum constituents. Another great project which OMA has been a statewide partner with Oklahomans for the Arts and others is The Economic Impact of Nonprofit Arts & Culture Organizations and Their Audiences in the State of Oklahoma. This study will quantify the positive ripple effects of the arts and culture on our economy, and we want to be sure that your museum and audiences are represented. One result of special interest to you is this study will have a report on the economic impact of the Oklahoma museum sector. As usual, we continue to be a transparent organization and are happy to continue our involvement in GiveSmartOKC, a service of the Oklahoma City Community Foundation and GuideStar.org. Want to know more about OMA s financials, governance and policies, take a look at our GiveSmartOKC profile.
