At the start of the meeting, that the Council interview the following applicants: Julianne Schaefer Belvedere-Tiburon Joint Recreation Committee Connie Wiley Historic Preservation Committee Robert Griffin Historic Preservation Committee 2. As the last item on the agenda, that the City Council make appointments of one member each to the Historic Preservation Committee and the Belvedere-Tiburon Joint Recreation Committee. Background Belvedere-Tiburon Joint Recreation (The Ranch) Committee One Vacancy, Term to Fill: 6/1/2015 5/31/2019 Afsaneh Zolfaghari, a Belvedere representative to the Belvedere-Tiburon Joint Recreation Committee, has resigned from her position. The City has received one application to fill the unexpired term from Belvedere resident Julianne Schaefer. Ms. Schaefer will be present at the beginning of the meeting for a brief interview with the City Council. Historic Preservation Committee One Vacancy, Term to Fill: 7/1/2017 6/30/2021 Bruce Sams has resigned from his seat on the Historic Preservation Committee. Two applications have been received to fill the vancancy from interested Belvedere residents: Connie Wiley and Robert Griffin. Both applicants will be present at the beginning of the meeting for a brief interview with the Council. Attachments Letter of interest from Julianne Schaefer for the Bel-Tib Joint Rec Committee. I am looking for ways to be more involved with our community and I feel my input as a mother with a young infant would be go a long way as a Ranch Board Member. I have previous board experience, having served as the Vice President of Student Affairs for the International Interior Design Association from , and on my Homeowners Board Association in Seattle for two years. I have spoken with Afsaneh Zolfaghari, who recommended I pursue her position as she vacates the board, as well as Cathleen Andreucci, the Executive Director at The Ranch. 5 Dear Preservation Committee, It would be appreciated if I would be considered for the vacancy on the Preservation Committee. The early homes in Belvedere have always been an interest and concern of mine. An interest in the fact that they maintain the history of Belvedere's origin and of the times. The concerns are that when these particular homes are lost so is some of the history of Belvedere. Hopefully, with enough awareness and set examples more homes could be classified as " historic" and preserved.
