The Awards are divided into Built Project and Plan / Concept categories. The 2016 Awards have received a total of 20 submissions. The adjudication was held on 21 July The Institute would like to thank all the Jurors for their Professional Adjudication in selecting the submission which include 1 Grand Award and 1 Merit for the Built Project category, 1 Merit and 1 Special Citation for the Plan/ Concept (HK Projects) category, and 1 Grand Award and 3 Merits for the Plan / Concept (Non-HK Projects) category Jury Panel included: Prof. Nelson Chen, Prof. Rebecca Chiu, Dr. Jianxiang Huang, Mr Shuki Leung and Hon.Tony Tse. 9 Corporate Affiliates, creating an increasing influence in public policy of developments. With my service in the Government, HKIA, HKIP, HKU, UDA and HKIUD, as well as 30 years working experience and networking in the development circle, I envision bringing our Institute into a higher platform, through Government-Industry-Academics-Research ( 官產學研 ) collaborations. Vision To bring higher value of HKIUD and its members to the community, through realising the benefits of urban design Missions To contribute to the quality of Hong Kong s built environment through the application of urban design principles To foster Government-Industry-Academics-Research collaborations in embracing urban design as a norm To bring HKIUD as a professional qualification in recruitments and LegCo Functional Constituency To strengthen networking with other design and professional bodies, both local and overseas, for synergies To groom young members in taking up leadership roles for the succession of the HKIUD Council To institutionalize a knowledge management (KM) system, in sharing of knowledge and best practice To create digital media chatrooms for exchange of ideas and information amongst members
