2 Distinguished Speakers What shapes the way we think - enculturation and international business Dr Bill Young has over 36 years diverse international experience in the process chemical, manufacturing and mining industries leading business projects across Australia, Europe, Asia, North America, and Africa. He is currently an academic at Swinburne, RMIT and Monash University as well as an industry consultant; President of the Asia Pacific Federation of Project Management, past President of the Australian Institute of Project Management and former Vice Chairman of the Global Mining Association of China. He holds a PhD (Melb), MBA, M.Eng, B.Eng (Mech), CPPD, LFAIPM, FIEAust, CPEng. Dr Bill Young Developing an infrastructure financing model with Deep Discount Project Bond (DDPB) and Land Hybrid Financing Lukas Sihombing is an expert in Public Private Partnership (PPP) in infrastructure, project management, project finance and financial model in infrastructure, and system dynamics. Lukas was lecturing at post-graduate studies at the University of Indonesia. He has more than 27 years of professional experience in construction and engineering management of largescale projects, including harbor toll roads, and integrated transportation systems all over Indonesia. Mr. Lukas Sihombing Lukas has been active in professional organisations. Currently he is the Operational Management Certification Body (CB IPMA Indonesia) at International Project Management Association (IPMA), the Vice President of Indonesian Society of Project Management Professional for Certification. He is also a Board Member for membership of Asia Pacific Federation of Project Management (APFPM), and member of various organisations including System Dynamics Society, American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), Project Management Institute, American Association of Cost Engineering, and Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM). He also serves as a reviewer as well as a writer of various and international conferences.

3 Today's Construction Project Management Status in Singapore Dr Ting Seng Kiong is President of the Society of Project Managers Singapore since He is a full professor and the founding Dean of the newly formed College of Professional and Continuing Education at the Nanyang Technological University Singapore. Prior to this, he was the Deputy President (Academic) and Provost of the Singapore Institute of Technology. Dr Ting Seng Kiong Dr Ting is a Singaporean. He graduated with First Class Honours in Civil Engineering from Monash University, Australia under the President s and Colombo Plan scholarships. He has a Master of Engineering from the National University of Singapore. He obtained his Master of Science in Civil Engineering and Doctor of Science (Structural Engineering) from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He is a Singapore registered professional engineer with experiences in design, site construction, site management, project development and execution. His research interests are in sustainable construction technology and management. He was awarded the Singapore Concrete Institute Award for Excellence in Concrete research and also the Ministry of National Development R&D Merit Award 2013 for innovation in converting waste to structural concrete and constructing the first building in the region with up to 100% recycled concrete aggregates. Over the years he has been involved in numerous research projects either as principal investigator (PI) or co-pi. He has been a consultant or expert witness to more than 50 projects over the last ten years. He has one patent to his name. Why we still struggle to get Senior Management support on Projects Trevor is a Director of the Australian Institute of Project Management, Vice President for Asia Pacific Federation of Project Management and member of the Industry Advisory Board for Swinburne University and Victoria University. Trevor's full time role is a Managing Principal with DXC Consulting. He has responsibility for project, programme and portfolio management, building organisational and individual capability development, maturity reviews, facilitation and advisory from Project Manager s to Project Directors/Senior Management across industry. Mr. Trevor Alex He holds a Master of Commerce, Master of Project Management, Post Graduate Diploma in Leadership and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Project Management.
