1 Niemann/Niemand/Niemandt - Descendant Report For simplicity the form of NIEMAND is used throughout the table. Based on his research of the Niemand family, Johan Niemandt (b7c4d5e7f11g1), in discussion on the Niemand family on the Geni Website ( and at proposes that the correct classification of Class/Nicolaas Niemand (who married Susanna Delport) should be b1c4 the 4th child of Diederick Niemand b1 and Elisabeth Voogd, NOT (b10) the son of Johan Niemann SV and Anna Margaretha Putter as classified in SAG vol 6. As a consequence the S.A.G. classification of Johan Niemann s children is also incorrect. A few available documents (wills, inventories and baptism records) relating to the first 3 generations of this family as transcribed/extracted at various Archives were generously supplied by Johan Pottas and Mariana Olivier (The research done by Mariana Olivier was commissioned by Johan Niemandt - b7c4d5e7f11g1). Anne Clarkson and Judi Meyer were commissioned to verify some records. The following report is based on the combined information found in these documents and supports Johan Niemandt s proposal. The transcription of these documents are provided at the end of this chart. The information found was collated by the author, C June Barnes (7x Great Grandchild of Johann Niemann) into the following report. Drawn up on 13 day of April 1747 at 8 oçlock in the evening in Stellenbosch. He bequeathed to his eldest son Jan Nieman his riding horse, a brown mare with a "kol" on the forehead, as well as a saddle and other equipment in order that he may use it for his work as a Dragoon. "...Zoo verklaar der Testateur als nooijt getrouwd geweezen zynde no geene ouders in't leven hebbende aan wien enige geregtelijke makinge beskuldig is, tot zyne enige en universeele erfgename te noemen en te instiuteer gelijk doen by deesen, de Vrije Bastaardinne Elizabeth Voogd, nevens hare seven kinders in name: 1.
