His dream is to enter public service. Sunny Ohana and Spiderman with Janice Ng (Hokulani Waikiki by Hilton Grand Vacations Club), Dan Daniels, Elena Shiroma (Ala Moana Hotel) and Nancy Daniels (public relations), 2005 February 2002 the OHANA Family got a little bigger and brighter with the introduction of Sunny OHANA, a colorful mascot for OHANA Hotels & Resorts. Sunny s main effort was to spread fun and aloha at various community efforts throughout Hawai i. His first public appearance was when he was photographed in the lobby of the OHANA Waikiki Tower for a feature article in The Honolulu Advertiser. Sunny made his official debut at the University of Hawai i s men s basketball game against Tulsa to a sell-out crowd at the Stan Sheriff Center. During that time, he handed out sunscreen, OHANA pens and other items. At half time, he ran on court through a gauntlet of UH cheerleaders as he was introduced to preside over the OHANA Hoops half-time promotion. Sunny was the perfect character to convey OHANA Hotels & Resorts tagline, OHANA Hotels, where fun is fundamental.
