A TWELVE ROOM SCHOOL BUILDING This building has been planned or a north rontage on a lot about our hundred eet square. Twelve school rooms were required together with oices, libraries and toilet rooms as deemed necessary or the size o the school. There are three public entrances to the building. The one in the center o the ront is the main entrance and leads to the irst loor. The two end entrances are at grade and lead by short lights o stairs either down to the basement or up to the irst loor. The-'e is also a rear basement entrance to the boiler room. The building is three stories above a high basement and o the twelve school rooms ive are placed or. the irst loor and seven on the second loor. As ar as consistent with the plan, the rooms have been made twenty-ive eet wide and thirty-two eet long and are intended to seat orty-eight pupils, but the two southwest rooms are only twenty-ive by thirty eet six inches. They will, however, seat orty-eight pupils each. The two rooms in the middle ront o the second loor are twenty-two eet wide by thirty -two eet six inches and seat orty pupils each. The ull seating capacity o the building is ive hundred and sixty. Eesides the ive school rooms on the irst loor there are a principal's oice, a library, a teachers' room and two toilet rooms. The principal's oice is just to the let o the main entrance and there is a principal's private toilet room o the corridor leading to the boys' toilet room on the irst loor. The library is just to the right o the main entrance. The teachers room is just across the hall and has in connection with it a coat room and a toilet room.

2 On the second loor there are besides the seven school rooms a teachers' room with coat and toilet rooms and toilet rooms or boys and girls Only the middle portion o the building is carried up three stories. The third loor is all one large assembly hall with a small stage m the south end and dressing rooms at each side. There are two stairways in the opposite ends o the building running in two lights to each story rom the basement to this loor. The toilet rooms or boys are in the east end o the central portion o the building and those or girls are in a similar position at the west end. They are separated rom the main halls by well lighted and ventilated corridors and are arranged in two vertical stacks so that the plumbing is bunched as much as possible. In the basement there are play rooms or boys and girls, a manual training room, a kindergarden room and bicycle rooms. There are bicycle runways down rom each o the end entrances. The building is heated by the blower system and the an, coal and boiler rooms are centrally located in the basement. The exterior o the building is aced with stone through the basement story and with pressed brick above. All interior supporting walls are o brick while other partitions are o hollow tile.
