Zink House Dampfærgevej 24 Zink House/ Zinkhuset is a part of the town plan 'North Port', created by the Dutchman Adriaan Geuze The building is a block consisting of 60 exclusive owner-occupied flats The block is built as a sculptural box, tipped up towards the west and the view of the town The 'lift' and the courtyard space ensures light and air underneath the house It connects the house with the open street space and the shops are reached on both sides It was important to create a lot of outdoor space, both a private courtyard, terraces and roof top gardens The building is coved in zinc and the terraces seems like sharp cuts in the hollow block, due to the wood cladding inside Project is public! photo: Adrian Ewig Headquarters on Langelinie Langelinie Alle 47 The vision was to create an environmentally sustainable, forward-looking corporate headquarters with a distinct architectural expression The 'bastion' is removed from the building, giving an additional floor and achieving a holistic integration building geometry, construction principles, and interior climate concept, all while minimizing floor deck height and maximizing room height The addition of an extra level allows for a continuous atrium rising through all levels, furnished with 'hanging gardens' of meeting and lounge platforms, bridges, and open stairs Two vertical service cores define the atrium; one core is 'green', covered in climbing plants, the other core is 'blue', with full-height water-art The facades, homogeneous bands of brickwork perforated by a net of openings, are marked by large, lone apertures in the forms of portals, bay windows, and dormers photo: Adrian Ewig Public access unknown! 2014 Lundgaard & Tranberg Arkitektfirma AdrianEwig http://wwwmimoaeu/users/doominoo/guides/nord%20copenhagen/ 6
