File #: C Recommendation(s): Requires Action For Information Only It is recommended: 1. That Report No. DS be received for information purposes and posted on the Township's website. Background: The purpose of this report is to provide Council with an update on the current status of all applications that are active within the Planning Division. This includes all development (Official Plan and Zoning By-law Amendment) applications, all draft plans of subdivision applications, and all site plan applications. The status report does not include consent or minor variance applications that are active with Planning staff; there are 35 consent applications and 40 minor variance applications that have been received and processed by staff in Attachment #1 contains a chart which provides the details on each application being processed within the Planning Division and Attachment #2 provides a location map that identifies the location of each of the applications currently being processed by the Planning Division. Analysis: Planning staff continue to receive a number of site plan and zoning by-law amendment applications for review and processing. In addition, planning staff continue to review and provide comments with respect to the proposed modifications to the County of Simcoe Official Plan (to be ed in a separate report to Council). As the County of Simcoe Official Plan modifications and the OMB appeals move forward, Township staff will now begin to initiate the process of the required review and conformity exercise for Development Services December 2, 2015 Report No. DS Page 1 of 2

2 the Township's Official Plan. A work plan and request for proposal for the Comprehensive Review/Update to the Official Plan and Zoning By-law will be prepared by staff and provide to Council for information and circulated for the submission of proposal before the end of January Financial / Legal Implications / Risk Management: n/a Policies/Legislation: Planning Act Corporate Strategic Goals: Quality of Life To contribute to an enriched quality of life for residents by maintain Oro- Medonte's natural beauty and country-like character Sustainability To build an increasingly sustainable community with regard for and sensitivity to the needs of future generations.
