2 2017AOI-24 LAND FOR AGRICLTRE DEVELOPMENT Please review the Request for Proposals Applicant Guide for additional details regarding applying for this property. Property Description: This area of interest is located near the Trans-Canada Highway approximately 6.5 kilometers east of the Gambo intersection in the central region of the province. The existing land use is mainly open softwood forest with minor organic deposits. Approximately 30 % of the original AOI is unavailable due to issued titles. Access to these lands would mainly from existing farm properties. Please see attached Existing Land se Map. The total area in this land base is approximately acres (223.2 hectares). Summary of Suitability: Areas are approximate only, minor discrepancies may exist as a result of rounding and converting values from hectares to acres (total area for each parcel of land indicated has been rounded to the nearest 0.0 acre/hectare). Interested applicants should contact the Department to discuss options for localized development within this area prior to making application. Additional work may be required by the Agricultural Land Section to determine the exact location within the area to accommodate the applicant s plans. Access to this site is limited. The Department does accept applications for road construction/maintenance however approval of such activities is not guaranteed.
