The specific focus has been community, social and cultural architecture. The work of the practice has been recognized both nationally and internationally. The practice has comprised between four and twelve people since its inception. The practice has over the last 30 years or so built over 200 buildings. The work of the practice has formed the basis for a teaching program run by Noero at the University of Witwatersrand and more recently at Washington University in St. Louis, USA and the University Cape Town, South Africa where he teaches architectural theory and design. Jo Noero entered into partnership with Heinrich Wolff in 1999 and the practice was renamed Noero Wolff Architects. In May 2011 Noero dissolved his partnership with Wolff and re-established Noero Architects. Please refer to the website for a comprehensive review of the work of the Noero Practice.
