5 Chairman s Welcome On behalf of Rowing Ireland I would like to extend a warm welcome to all athletes, coaches, parents, officials and members of the public to the Home International Regatta. The Home International Regatta presents Rowing Ireland with an opportunity to showcase our sport and our wonderful facilities here at the National Rowing Centre on Inniscarra Lake to an international audience. I would like to thank all of the volunteers, who freely give of their time to make this event successful. In particular, I would like to extend my sincere thanks to the members of the Regatta Committee, who have worked tirelessly for many months to ensure that this Regatta is a great success. I am pleased to see that the spirit of volunteerism is alive and well within our sport. The Regatta Committee are anxious to run the event in an efficient manner, and look forward to the cooperation and support of all athletes, coaches and officials and would ask that all safety advice and circulation patterns are carefully observed.
