1 Projects Completed FY16, FY17 and FY18 (arranged alphabetically) Abrams Planetarium Install automatic door opener on main doors of the Planetarium. Completed: Summer 2016 Cost: $13,000 Bessey Hall 1 st and 2 nd Floors Classroom Wing Renovated classrooms and corridor on the 1 st and 2 nd floors of Bessey Hall. Variety of accessible seating provided in classrooms and corridors. Single occupant accessible toilet room, personal health room and two quiet study/testing rooms added. Accessible drinking fountain and bottle filling station installed on the floor as well. Completed: Fall 2017 Cost: $2.9 Million (Total project cost) Business College Complex Install automatic door opener to vestibule doors outside of room N130. Completed: Fall 2016 Cost: $12,000 Demonstration Hall: Renovate and expand restrooms in the Arena for barrier-free access. Install automatic door opener. Completed: August 2016 Cost: $200,000 Giltner Hall Install automatic door opener to doors on the North Side of Giltner Hall. Completed: Fall 2016 Cost: $16,000 Jenison Install automatic door opener to women s locker room. Install magnet hold-opens on three interior doors. Completed: Summer 2016 Cost: $15,000 Veterinary Medical Center Install automatic door opener to the entrance of the G-Wing (closest to classroom G150). Completed: Summer 2016 Cost: $15,000 Install automatic door opener to the entrance of the E-Wing (closest to classroom E100). Created a single occupant accessible restroom and quiet study/testing room outside of classroom E100 as part of the E100 classroom renovation. Status: Anticipated completion June 2018 Estimated Cost: $600,000 (Total cost of Shaw Lane Route Improvements) Biochemistry Existing restroom vestibule converted to a single occupant accessible toilet room. Status: Anticipate completion winter 2017 Cost: $50,000 Breslin Center Barrier-free stalls and fixtures added to existing north and south restrooms. New single occupancy toilet rooms added. Barrier free entry and exit corridors to and from all public restrooms. New Concession stands designed to be accessible. New barrier-free ramp created at the north end of the site. Power assisted doors added. Upgrades to current lighting meet standards for ADA visibility requirements. Status: In progress (scheduled to be complete Oct 2017) Cost: $50 Million (Total Project Cost) Wharton Center: Path of travel and companion seating modifications associated with the seat replacement project at the Great Hall and Pasant Theater. Status: In progress BOT approved. Anticipate May September 2018 construction. Estimated Cost: $1.5 Million (Total Project Cost) Wills House: Modify site to provide ramped entry with snowmelt to the west entry of the building, automate entry doors as necessary, ensured availability of barrier-free parking, installation of new single occupant accessible restroom at first floor, and provide comprehensive interior finish renovations, ADA signage, as required. Status: Under Review Estimated Cost: $350,000 $375,000 (Total Project Cost) Cook Hall Building: Modify site to provide grade level entry with snowmelt system at new accessible entrance to the building, automate entry doors as necessary, ensured availability of barrier-free parking, installation of new elevator, installation of new single occupant accessible restrooms at first and second floors, ADA signage and fire alarm modifications, as required. Status: In Planning anticipate BOT action to proceed Estimated Cost: $3.8 - $4.8 Million (Total Project Cost) Cowles House Planning in process for barrier-free improvements, including elevator.
