1 University of Kashmir Hazratbal, Srinagar, J&K Auction Notice It is notified for the information of General Public that open auction of various unserviceable/obsolete items will be held in the University campus in presence of the Auction Committee as per the schedule given below. Date & Time of Auction: at 11.30AM Venue: Estates Store, Main Campus, University of Kashmir The unserviceable/obsolete items to be auctioned have been kept in the Estates Store; the individuals/parties interested to take part in the auction can visit the Estates Store during the office hours before the actual date of auction. The minimum bid value of the items is Rupees Three lakhs only (Rs 3, 00000/=). List of items to be auctioned alongwith terms & conditions can be obtained on any working day from Estates Section of University or can be downloaded from University website No: F (Auction-USI)Est/KU/16 Dated: Sd/= Joint Registrar (Estates)

2 Auction of Unserviceable/Obsolete Items General Terms & Conditions The interested bidder has to deposit an amount of Rupees Twenty thousand only (Rs 20,000/=) in advance as earnest money. However, this amount will be returned back to the unsuccessful bidders as soon as the auction proceedings are over. In case of the successful bidder, his amount will be adjusted in the bid. The minimum bid value will start at Rupees Three lakhs only (Rs 3,00000/=) The list of items to be auction is enclosed as Annexure-A. The interested parties/individuals can visit the Estate Store on any working day during the office hours before the actual date of auction. The successful bidder has to deposit the full bid amount at the time of issuance of formal order by the University. The successful bidder has to execute the job under the supervision of University officials/officers. The successful bidder shall himself be responsible for watch and ward of the material owned by him. The successful bidder will not sublet the contract to any other firm/individual. The successful bidder has to lift the auctioned material within two days from the date of issuance of formal order. The successful bidder shall have to ensure the safety of the University property during the lifting of the material and if it is reported by University watch and ward, that the concerned bidder/contractor has damaged the university property, the action under rules will be taken and the amount deposited by the bidder will be forfeited. The successful bidder will not hamper the routine activity of the University in the Campus. Contract will be awarded to the highest bidder. However, the Auction Committee reserves the right to accept or reject any tender/bid without assigning any reason thereof. No conditional bid will be entertained/accepted. The University will not provide any transport facility to successful bidder for lifting the material. The bidder has to take part in full auction. Part rate or conditional rate will not be accepted. If the bidder fails to fulfil the terms and conditions, the amount deposited will be forfeited. A proper gate pass will be issued by the Estates Section/Chief Proctor Office for lifting the auctioned material, without which the bidder will not be allowed to take the auctioned material out of the campus.
